I never saw Troll 2, but this review makes it sound amazing.

There were some extremely strange movies I had seen, but I knew what I was in for since I read about them before watching:

Zombi 3: The U.S. military creates "Death-1", a zombie-making chemical, then when a terrorist steals it and causes a zombie outbreak, somehow the U.S. military doesn't believe it. I don't mean they deny involvement, I mean they don't believe zombies could exist, even though they made Death-1 for that exact purpose. The zombies themselves shamble, eat people, pop out of pregnant women, fight with machetes, use martial arts, and hold down jobs as radio disc jockeys. The movie rips off every zombie movie that came before it. Nothing makes sense here.

The Nights of Terror: An archeologist with incredible facial hair awakens ancient Etruscan zombies in his backyard. They eat him even after he claims to be their friend. Archeologist's friends arrive at his château, and get attacked by evil Etruscans. One of the guests is a sexy middle-aged woman with a son that looks like a 12-year-old with an old man's face. Son wants to molest his mother...then eats her breast.

What happens that doesn't make it a zombie movie?

The zombies are just sort of there. They don't eat anyone, and the zombie army at the end seem to be puppets for a hellish power. There are rotting corpses of an artist and everyone he kills join him as his minions, but the artist seems to be an emissary of Hell. I don't know for sure though; the movie refuses to make sense.

The German trailer, to make it even more confusing.

What's truly amazing is that it seems some actors went on to appear in other movies.

I suppose people want to boast that members of the Troll 2 were in their movies.

Oh, Bloodsucking Freaks and Dracula vs. Frankenstein are very incredible in their bizarreness.

I can't see why.

And I love Dracula vs Frankenstein. Never seen the other though.

Something else for me to add. Even though I like Evangelion, I admit that the anime had a bunch of weird moments, especially End of Evangelion where it shows strange stuff for who knows how long that I kinda forgot what I was watching.

Oh, it's been so long I nearly forgot, but the film Braindead was deliriously insane when I first saw it. When a Catholic priest appeared and proceeded to use lethal martial arts on zombies, an ability which wasn't even hinted at earlier, I could only sit there and take in the movie in stunned silence. It only gets stranger from there. Trailer.

Making things stranger, Braindead was directed by Peter Jackson long before he made the Lord of the Rings films. Some actors in Braindead even reappear in cameos.

The Apple. I read the reviews. I've watched many bizarre films in my life. Nothing could have prepared me for this...thing.
