I see. well that's kind of different...
I still don't think plot patterns are as important when watching something as other things, but I can see where that might get annoying for you. _________________

I try to just watch and get swept in the story and then BAM I ruin my own endings. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

Okay, watched more of this. Up to episode 13.
It's developed in some interesting ways. It's developed in some kind of stupid ways as well. It's kind of a frustrating series, I'd say. Certain things I love, certain things I don't like nearly as much; certain other things just seem silly. The main character, while I don't hate him, is just incredibly frustrating.
That said, it does a lot of things right. At the start of this new story arc, I don't know where things are headed and it seems like there's a lot more room for the characters to grow. It's flawed, but I think it still has potential to shape up into something pretty good, if not quite on the level it seems so desperately to be grasping for. I'm looking forward to watching the second half.
Edit: Seen up to episode 15 now. Wow. That was almost a Madoka moment. I somehow wasn't quite expecting that. I'm now suddenly not sure what's going to happen with Shu's character... _________________

I completely forgot about this. I did watch the first two episodes of it at Starbucks; I'm not sold on this unfortunately. Dude's kind of bland, he reminds me of Suzaku almost in terms of sheer hypocrisy, which does not sit well with me at all. It may have to do with my political and philosophical backgrounds as well, but seriously, this is basically taking Susaku, and making him the protagonist. Some of the other major characters were good, but not enough for me.
But it's easy to point out the negatives. So let me get to the stuff I liked.
The plot maybe Code Geass, but the battles are literally from Cyber Troopers Virtual On! Mechas controlled by the pilot's brainwaves? The pilot feeling pain as the mecha takes damage? Dashing around like Knightmare Frames, but with the same sounds from the games? The 'pilot' suffering major mental and psychological damage, if not death a la Matrix, if his/her mind doesn't disconnect from the about to be destroyed mecha? This is major nostalgia in my brain...and it hurts!!! (in a good way)
So, I'm not sure with this one. I really, REALLY, love the Cyber Troopers: Virtual On references floating around, but the characters are fairly bland and predictable. I really don't know if I should continue. _________________

Well, I saw parts of his immediate reaction coming. I just can't figure out what this will ultimately mean for his character long term. That's the part I'm not sure about.
I guess I'll see whenever I get around to watching episode 16. _________________
