Every one thousand years, 100 Mamodo children are sent from the Mamodo World into the Human World to fight each other to become the next Mamodo King. The Mamodo each must seek out a human partner who can read their spell books so that they can conjure up their powers. Then they all fight each other and the last Mamodo standing will be the winner and the new king.

This story will be something of an original, alternate universe-like story. The concepts and terminology are the same, but it's set in modern time and none of the mamodo and humans from the show are in the story. Instead it will be about an entire original cast of new mamodo and humans instead.

Like Phil's A Light Forgotten, I will be accepting character requests, so example profiles shall be posted soon, and the story will focus on three different protagonists. I won't spoil too much, so here's a taste of what they're like.

Characters:

Cero, mamodo of the silver spell book. A 6-year old boy with an innocent heart. Wants to understand the world and why the mamodo fight.

Tsubaki Matsumoto, a cute 15-year old girl in high school. Her family wants to adopt a kid, so she ends up becoming something of a step-sister to her mamodo partner.

Kira, mamodo of the cyan spell book. A beautiful and feminine 14-year old boy who is more interested in the Human World than the Mamodo World.

Audrey Price, a sexy 26-year old woman and daughter of the president of a financial conglomerate. Flirtatious and enjoys having fun.

Jeanne Blade, mamodo of the blue spell book. A 14-year girl in armor and a sense of justice. Is eager to win the mamodo battle become queen.

Helena Parker, a 28-year old police officer. Hates the idea of humans being dragged into the mamodo battle but is willing to help her partner put an end to it.

If you don't understand the concept of Zatch Bell, I would suggest watching the anime or reading the manga.
