What genres interest you at the moment? do share!

I'm mainly into Swing and Jazz right now. I mentioned Jill Tracy and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in the free chat thread, so here's a couple of links.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBxfAs_skMA - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy with Mr. Pinstripe Suit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cbpb_mlSCNg - Jill Tracy with Evil Night Together.

There's a certain dark beauty to Miss Tracy's voice and lyrics that I really appreciate. It's like listening to how vanilla ice-cream tastes.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is just fun, catchy and all the things good Swing should be.

Ooh, that's nice. Any examples you could share, Mr. Rabu?

Mostly whatever J-pop happens to be on my phone at the moment, mixed with random Lady Gaga and Katy Parry songs.

That's good. I have heard of something called neo-classical that's rather interesting too. Here is one called "Spiraling into the Sun".

Oooh. I've heard of Neo-Classical metal, but Neo-Classical as a standalone genre.

It's very pretty.

Here's Gentaro from Storm Rider.

Neo-classical metal is essentially baroque except faster and on guitar, I remember it being explained as.

J-Metal bands often use Neo-Classical elements. Can't really think of any western ones off of the top of my head, except maybe Epica and Kamelot.

Galneryus are the masters, in my opinion. I just wish they either studied English a little harder or stuck to singing in their native tongue.
