It's just become kind of low priority for me compared to all the stuff that's still coming out.

I'm sure I'll get to it eventually.

That's probably the better approach.

keeping current is good too.

I need to lvl 27 or so lvls in my MMO by August 14th and being as it usually takes me 3 1/2 - 4 hrs to lvl once I have work ahead of me.

So no Anime for forseeable future

I think this is exactly why I don't play those.

yeah, but this is only because I'm pretty close to max lvl. I already got one of my weaker chars up the 40 lvls in a couple of days.

Okay. Over the past three days I have finished all my Spring season hold overs. Did one show each night.

My final thoughts on each:

Tiger and Bunny - This show was a hell of a lot of fun. Amusing characters. I don't think some of them got quite enough spotlight time, but they were still a lot of fun. I think Kaede might have become my favorite character in the final arc. So spirited and sweet, and with a cool power. I really loved seeing her whenever she showed up. The final arc was really unexpected next to where I thought the series was going. I had Lunatic pinned as the big villain for the second half. Figured it would turn into a battle between his pure justice and the non-lethal heroics of the others. What we did get was perhaps even better though, even if it did seem like Lunatic was kind of being pushed aside. The other heroes never really confronted him, which was weird given they spent so much time setting him up in the first half. That weirdness aside, this show was really pretty awesome. Some of the most seamless integration of 3D into anime I've seen, a fun original plot from Sunrise, likable characters and great Superhero action that actually felt true to western superhero themes. It all makes for a thoroughly excellent anime.

Nichijou - In my opinion, this show is nothing short of sheer brilliance. I love Kyoani. I always have since the first time I watched Haruhi. There are probably few anime I've re-watched more than Lucky Star, and I love K-On! to the point where I have DVDs, a figure, and more music from the show on my iPod than any other anime. And well, I would totally put this show on the same level as all those. In a lot of ways it exceeds them. The animation is more daring. The humor is on average more laugh out loud funny. Everything is just so perfectly weird and over the top that I can't resist. Brilliant slapstick, baffling non sequiturs, obtuse punch lines, and just a penchant for the totally bizarre made for some of the funniest sequences I can recall seeing in an anime. Not every joke works. Some are just baffling. Some probably didn't translate well. But when they do work, wow is this show great. And I don't just like it because its funny. Just like Lucky Star or K-On!, its all about really falling in love with these characters. And even though the main characters are hardly what I'd call particularly realistic, they really are endearing and memorable. The final episode showed an emotional depth with Nano's character that really stunned me. Oh, and Mai is probably the most consistently hilarious and bizarre character I have ever seen in an anime like this. She is amazing. I am shocked reading that this show kind of flopped pretty bad, but I at least respect what KyoAni put into it. If it ever does get released over here I am not even going to hesitated. It will be purchased instantly.

Steins;Gate - Onto something else I really loved. I can hardly believe the emotional tension this show somehow manages to achieve. It's brilliant. The characters are so damn good too. Currently petting the Kurisu figure I bought months ago. Definitely do not regret the purchase as she's probably one of my favorite characters ever. And then there's Ruka and Feyris and Suzuha and Mayuri and Moeka. And Okabe. With awesome characters like Kotetsu and Kazuya, I really enjoy following a lot of the male leads in what I've been watching recently, but Okabe is probably my favorite. The emotions he goes through are just incredible and Mamoru Miyano deserves a lot of credit for making him so awesome, silly, intense and sympathetic. I loved the ending. The final sequence made me tear up, as did the parting sequence with Kurisu episode 22. Even as much as I loved the final scenes with Victorique and Kazuya in Gosick, that didn't quite affect me like the romance here. It was just excellent.

So yeah, four days in, and there's yet to be a single series that was less than excellent for me. I'm going to have to do some sort of ranking after I've seen everything.

Now then, onto my many summer season hold overs...
