Well, it's still pretty new. I'm actually not sure there has been a major doujin convention since it's completion.
I'm pretty sure we'll see hundreds of Madoka doujins when all is said and done. I mean it's huge. It's first volume broke the record for Blu-Ray sales. And I read that it became the most talked about series on 2channel of all time, more so than Haruhi Suzumiya. Additionally, if you look at Gelbooru, there are already 13272 Madoka images as of now. That's more than there are for Bleach, only a couple thousand less than for Code Geass and this show just ended last month. _________________

Yeah. Apparently it had more threads discussing it on 2Chan than Haruhi had while it was still playing. _________________

I'm not. Quite frankly, I think there was more to discuss. _________________

If anyone is interested there is a Hanasaku Iroha doujin featuring Minchi and a Tomodachi ga Sukunai doujin featuring the blonde girl (Sena) on doujin-moe.
Minchi is in the newest update whereas Sena is in the New Translations update just after it. Sena is the last picture in the update (for free)
It just makes me wonder though Tomodachi ga Sukunai hasn't even come out yet, how does it have doujins already? Am I missing something? _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

It already exists as a light novel.
Sometimes doujins will be drawn for series that don't have anime, just based on the visual novel/light novel/manga whatever that inspired the anime. Ones based on anime are more common I'm sure because they're more recognizable and thus sell better. Or perhaps they're just more likely to be uploaded to the internet. _________________
