I'm a pretty casual lolita myself, I don't obsess over brands, I just wear what I think looks pretty, but I'm rather fond of Refuse To Be Usual and the Alice And The Pirate's sub-label stuff. The looks I go for are usually EGL, guro or sailor lolita, but I'd also like to try a Wa-lolita look, although I don't think I'm elegant enough to actually pull it off.

So, any other lolitas here? Even just fans of the style?

I'm a rather big fan of the style, as you know. I'm not that educated, and I'm not that aware of many things to do with Lolita.

Personally I tend to find Lolita a little excessive but I fidn alot inspiration from a lot of related styles EGL in particular. thought I find the quality of clothes often very disappointing- simply not suited for the everyday wear I put them through.

Got to admit a soft spot for pie-shota but the tragedy is that as i get older to afford the clothes the less they suit me -_-

I'm guessing you're one of those people who, when they think of lolita, immediately thinks of the over-exaggerated dresses with the miles of lace and petticoats and such. xD A lot of the styles are actually a lot more casual than that. . . Just nice skirts and blouses.

And ooh, shota styles are good. I'm a HUGE fan of Kodona. . . I'm pretty sure you could pull it off well. You could wear circle lenses or do your makeup in a certain way, to make you look younger, if you feel that's a problem. Although there's a whole circle of Kodona dedicated to older-looking "Aristocrat"-esque styles.

Er, well, I guess the style of dress looks kind of pretty. I know nothing about fashion, but from what I know, the sort of stuff I've seen identified as lolita or gothic lolita looks pretty striking and cute. I don't know.
