Kamen Saber is available to read here.

Kamen Saber originated as a private joke when I played Fate/stay night. When I found about the character Rider, I saw her mask and imagined her as a female version of Kamen Rider. Later, when working on Muscle Cuties!, I wanted to make Youko Asagiri be a tokusatsu hero fan, so I decided to make one up for her. I was still playing Fate/stay night at the time, so I changed Kamen Rider to Kamen Saber, a motorcycle-riding version of Saber. It is now a running joke, with Youko comparing situations to things she saw on her favorite program.

For this story I just re-imagined Fate/stay night with typical tokusatsu hero tropes. The first two days were combined for simplicity. Saber is now an adopted elder sister to Shirou named Aruto Hide. Kirei Kotomine is more of a stereotypical villian. Rin is a full-fledged magical girl, Kaleido Ruby, like in the more humorous material, and has Magical Ruby with her. Archer is more caustic to Rin. Shirou, Taiga, Shinji, Sakura, Lancer, and Gilgamesh are mostly the same.

What is the meaning of the name "Aruto Hide"? 英 hide means "heroic" but also means "Britain", referring to Saber's origins. アルト Aruto has an ambiguous meaning, but it is short for "Altria" (アルトリア Arutoria). Originally she was going to be named アサ Asa, a play on "Arther" (アーサー Aasaa). I though "Asa" was too obvious though.

Originally, Gilgamesh would have summoned the Gate of Babylon to pull a monster out of to assist Lancer, and Kamen Saber would have killed it like Kamen Rider does nearly every episode. I wanted to take something from another Type Moon visual novel, but I couldn't find anything I liked.

Another cut moment would have been at the end. Youko and other characters from Muscle Cuties! would have been revealed to have been watching the episode on television. This was removed for potentially being confusing to any readers not familiar with Muscle Cuties!

This story will never continue, but I do have a general idea of how it would have continued. I might talk about that another day.

Oh, and if you ever wondered what a knight on a motorcycle looked like...

I thought it was a fun take on the introduction of Fate/Stay Night. Kamen Saber herself is amazing.

I have to say I don't think Lancer was mostly the same, characterized here as a bloodthirsty minion eager to serve Kotomine and Gilgamesh, when this couldn't be further from the truth. The others seemed about right.

Interesting. I was sure Aruto had some significance toward Arturia. Good to see it confirmed.

A monster might have been fun. Haven't been amnay cool monsters in the Type Moon stuff, I've seen, so I understand that.

I'd be interested to hear how it would have continue.

Eh, I can only remember Lancer as wanting to kill.

Lancer enjoys battle and definitely gets worked up in a fight. I definitely get that.

But he clearly resents having to serve someone like Kotomine, as is shown by him betraying Kotomine in two out of three visual novel routes. His downright heroic treatment in Unlimited Blade Works in particular I think shows there's more to him than wanting to kill.

I don't remember the endings at all anymore, so I couldn't remember Lancer turning against Kotomine.

I see. He's actually the one to kill Kotomine in Unlimited Blade Works.

I now have the boxset of FSN, will that be enough to read this properly?

Yes. It only parodies roughly the first two episodes of the anime and the first two days of the visual novel.

Actually, no, watch everything first. This story is a parody but it includes very important details from later in the story (in corrupted form though).

I almost forgot about some of those details. Yes, it is better to watch it all before reading this. Also the parody will be funnier, hopefully.
