It was a dark night, rain pouring down heavily. The weather had been like this for a while in Gainos, with cloudy days with occasional showers and stormy nights.

The church was an excellent place for shelter for any travelers who couldn't find an inn. And tonight it shall receive two new guests. Two cloaked figures, one smaller than the other ran out from the alley they hid in all the way to the church, not bothered by the heavy rain that poured down on them.

The taller one reached its hand out and knocked on the church's doors, hoping that someone would answer and let them out of this miserable weather.

[Melpha, priestess of Gainos, had been busy cleaning the church, singing to herself and hoping to see Archangel Nanael-sama again soon, even if there seemed to be something slightly off about her.

Melpha shook her head. No, she mustn't doubt the word of an archangel. She just needed more faith as a fundamentalist.

The heavy knocking at the door alerted her to visitors. The young priestess made her way over, her over-sized breasts wobbling gently.

"Please come in!" she bade her guests after opening the door. "It's warm and dry here!"]

The two stranger quickly stepped through the opened doors and entered the church. In contrast to the cold harsh weather outside, the church possessed an atmosphere of warmth and serenity.

"Pardon our intrusions at this hour," the taller one spoke to the priestess. "We wish to stay until the storm passes, if it's alright with you."

The two pulled their hoods down off of their heads, revealing their faces to the priestess. The taller one looked like teenager while the little one was a young child around the same height as the dwarf princess Ymir. The teenager had long silky black hair and very blue-ish pale skin. The teenager looked like a girl, judging by her(?) very feminine facial features.

The little one also looked like a girl, but with a more natural caucasion-like skin. Her(?) hair was short, reaching only down to her(?) neck. Her eyes were an unnatural shade of bright red. A noticeable and adorable feature of hers(?) was a little fang that stuck out from her(?) upper lip.

"Thank you for letting us in. It was freezing outside." The little one spoke as well.

[Melpha smiled warmly to the visitors. "Of course it is OK," she told the taller one.

She stepped back to give them room to enter, and closed the door. She was about to offer some food, but something cold seemed to flutter in her tummy, causing her smile to fade. Melpha blinked, wondering what the foreboding feeling she just had could be.

"Erm..." She shook her head and regained her composure. "Is there anything you would like to eat?"]

The teenager shook her head. "No thanks. I'm not hungry, but I think Kinran is."

"Yes," the child chirped and put her hands to her belly. "I'm really hungry."

"We should introduce ourselves first," The teenager spoke up. "My name is Shiron, and this is my friend, Kinran. Thank you again for letting us stay for the night."

"You're welcome," Melpha murmured. She got bread and salad out for her guests, offering them to Kinran. "Here, child. I'll show Shiron your rooms."]

Kinran beamed and took the food. "Thank you so much, lady." She immediately chowed down on the bread at a fast pace.

"Thank you, miss," Shiron replied and followed Melpha as she led through the cathedral with Kinran close behind.

"This is a nice cathedral you live in," Shiron spoke to the bountiful priestess.

["Thank you," Melpha answered. She showed some simple but comfortable rooms available to sleep in. No other guests were around.

"May I ask what you two doing out this time?" she asked Shiron.

Shiron nodded. "We are simple travelers looking for shelter when the storm hit. All of the inns were filled, so all we had left was this cathedral."

Kinran quickly finished her bread and salad and licked her fingers clean. She gave Melpha a smile of gratitude.
