At this point, I have not desire to follow up Bleach: Creatures of the Night any longer. I would much rather begin a completely new Bleach fan-fiction sometime, perhaps once Bleach finished.

But what where my ideas for the sequel? I had quite a few. The main villains were going to be one of the Ten Exquisite Sovereigns, Tatsuki, a former Substitute Soul Reaper, and an Arrancar that would turn out to be a new form of Tara Niou, her hatred for the main characters possessing the Hollows that devoured her at the end of Creatures of the Night and forcing them into Menos body before becoming an Arrancar. Tatsuki would become possessed by an evil power that made her resent Ichigo and others for keeping secrets from her and getting Orihime in trouble. Orihime would come under a similar influence, one that made her extremely powerful but also forcing her to kill. When she tries to resist the spirit would abuse and insult her, telling Orihime she is worthless for not wanting to fight. Orihime would overcome her oppressor when she finds that violence feeds it and kindness harms it, and she emerges stronger and more convinced that there are better options than violence. A big part of the story would have been a deconstruction of how many fans who hate Orihime think she would be a better character if she became a fighter; she becomes a powerful fighter by being forced into it and slowly getting her personality changed to an empty killing machine. I hate people like this, who think only women who fight are good female characters. There are many female character I like who never fight, and a few that do fight that I find completely unlikeable.

Rangiku too would come under a similar influence, but since Rangiku befriends hers she lives symbiotically with it, becoming as powerful as a captain.

Tatsuki's spirit was going to be based on the Angelus, Orihime's on the Darkness, and Rangiku's on the Witchblade. It would turn out that these three spirits were the real reason the Anmyutsu invaded Soul Society in Creatures of the Night, being briefly mentioned as "a relic" in that story, in chapter 20.

The Anmyutsu would show they have found a way to make their own Soul Reapers, but their zanpakutou would transform into a suit of armor that granted more abilities instead of becoming a bigger weapon. In earlier attempts the zanpakutou would manifest the sword spirit to fight along side the user, but I decided this was too similar to the Bount Dolls and it would fill the cast with unneeded characters.

Ultimately, a combination of not particularly liking a lot of aspects in the story plus the direction Kubo was taking Bleach in made me abandon this work. I would like to write another long Bleach story, but it will be unconnected to Creatures of the Night. I hope it will be a much better story.

It's a shame that this had to end, but thank you for providing us the details of what you intended to have the story be about.

Thank you. I do feel bad since some of that I thought up while writing Creatures of the Night and wrote the ending to accommodate those ideas.
