(I had trouble deciding whether to put this in here or random, if you think it should be moved please say).
I've always had an interest in the occult of all kinds, as I'm sure you've seen by my posts in Toutaku's Guardian Angels thread. I thought it would be nice for myself, and others, to have a place to contribute anything they find that's interesting. This thread will mainly be about things like cryptids and poltergeists, but feel free to post anything you wish that relates to the occult, this may even end up spanning over several different threads.
Personal experiences are also very welcome, if you're open to that kind of thing. I have a few interesting things to mention, including a couple of anecdotes and such. I look forward to seeing everyone's posts. |

Brilliant idea!
As for personal experiences, I had sleep paralysis every night for four years.
I'd wake up unable to move at around 4:15 AM every morning without fail and feel a strong presence behind me. I'd feel it get close enough to breathe on the back of my neck before it went away. My biological clock said that hours and hours passed while the attacks were happening, but when I saw the clock and it was usually only a couple of minutes.
One of my first experiences of this had strange flashing lights in a corner, and an incredibly sharp pain below my heart. Not too sure what it all means, but I have never experienced fear like that. Always accompanied by the ticking of clockwork, too... _________________

Were there any mysteries or legends around where you lived or went to school, Rabu-chin? _________________

That's a shame, they're very fun to listen to. We have Black Shuck up here, and there have been sightings of a loose panther. That's about it for Norfolk. _________________

Some idiot lost their exotic pet. xD
It'd be nice if me and the panther bonded and he became my familiar.
But back on topic, I'm seeing more flashes of energy and auras, recently.
My aura is gold and purple, which symbolises spiritual protection and passion or love. _________________

It's the same thing, more or less. Martial Arts are strangely spiritual without trying to be so in a lot of cases. _________________

Whether visible or not, they are both energy, I'd say. I have trouble not likening it to Reiatsu from Bleach or Chakra from Naruto. _________________

Those are kind of exaggerations of the original concept, but Chinese fiction was exaggerating qi long before Japanese fiction was. In earlier stories it was more like the Force as seen in the Star Wars films, making invisible pressures to push people away and the like.
The Naruto version of chakra bears even less resemblance to the chakra described in Hindu philosophy, but I would not be surprised if qi was inspired by chakra, or the reverse. _________________
