Phil the Time Wizard

Wasn't sure if I should put this here or in Random...

Anyway, after our discussion yesterday, I looked around and remembered that we had a very basic sort of cheap capture card. Using that I was able to get some gameplay footage from my PS3. The footage has no sound, and the quality is decent at best, but eh, it worked.

So I uploaded the footage I took to Youtube for you guys to see. I had to split it into three parts:

Part 1:

This first part contains me showing of the custom characters I've made so far and posing them.

It starts with Eirwen Fenix from my story, A Light Forgotten. I like how Eirwen turned out. The hat might be just slightly big, but for the most part this is close to how I see her. She fights with Z.W.E.I.'s moveset, as with the summoned creature it seemed fairly magical, and thus suitable to the adventurer.

0:50 in Wren Pandra, also of A Light Forgotten shows up. Wren turned out pretty well. The dress isn't perfectly what I see for her, but it looks fine, I think. Her hair would also be longer. This is her human form, so her hair is black (and there are no wings). She fights with Siegfried's moveset, mostly because not a lot really fit her, and well, Godly Saber is sort of becoming a miracle she likes to use.

1:45 brings Makani Renide, the Homestuck fan troll I use here on this board. Makani might be my favorite of all of them. She turned out pretty perfect I think. She fights with Astaroth's moveset.

2:40 in shows Kate Loring, the other, human Homestuck OC i've created. She looks fairly nice, I think. Simple design is simple. She uses the special custom character only Devil Jin moveset due to her passion for martial arts.

3:30 we return to A Light Forgotten characters with Diyanira. This is her adult demon form, though wings are omitted (I don't have any bat wings available to me at the moment). Her hair should be longer, but none of the long styles had the messiness Nira demands. Additionally, The dress is a little long. I wanted something more midlength, but not tight fitting, but sadly that was the best available. She uses Pyrrha Omega's moveset, as it seemed to have a lot of powerful aggressive moves to it.

4:15 shows Rhodanthe Tempest. This is the single one I'm least satisfied with at the moment. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the patterns I used looking at them again and I don't know, something doesn't seem quite right with her. She uses Nightmare's moveset, as it features powerful magical attacks and a massive sword.

5:15 gives Leandra Noland. Leandra pretty solid, I think. Her armor is really pretty I think. I'm not sure if her hair really has the curly bits in the front, but I kind of like it. She fights with Partoklos moveset.I think it suits her pretty well, even if I see her with a slightly bigger sword.

6:10 shows Fawne Hewney. I really like Fawne. I think she looks cool. The biggest problem is that the hair isn't quite spiky enough. Still, looks pretty good I think. She uses Ivy's moveset. I thought it kind of suited her, being kind of magically oriented.

7:05 shows my reoccurring OC Phil the Time Wizard. He looks pretty good. I made his hair too dark in retrospect, but it still looks okay. He fights with Xiba's moveset since it's a stick.

7:55 has me showing off best pony Applejack. This is fully human version. I considered giving her orange skin and making her like Slugbox's version, but eh, this seemed like a better idea. I think she's cute. I even took the time to make her cutie mark. She uses the same Devil Jin moveset as Kate, though I'm not entirely sure; I might change it.

8:40 shows Saber from Fate/Stay Night. I like how she turned out. She uses Alpha Patroklos' moveset as I think the sheath suited her well.

Part 2:

Part 2 opens with me showing off the various custom edits of regular SC characters I've made. These are abundantly silly and bizarre edits intended to troll people with in online matches. Characters featured in order are: Voldo, Astaroth, Algol, Elysium, Lexia, and Kilik.

3:35: I start showing off characters in combat through a series of versus matches. These all might go on a little long as I set the match counter to the default of three. The first fight is Eirwen vs. Diyanira.

6:25: second match: Wren vs. Leandra

Part 3:

This one is all fighting. First match, continuing with A Light Forgotten characters, we have Rhodanthe vs. Fawne. Unlike the other two, this fight makes no sense in the context of the story.

2:50 in we have my Homestuck OCs fight. Makani vs. Kate.

5:00 in we have Saber vs. Applejack for some reason.

Finally, at 7:30 in we have the showdown between two great and bitter rivals.

I'll undoubtedly do more at some point when I make more characters.

How long did it take to finish each character on average?

Thanks to you both for watching.

Glad you liked them, Selrahc. The time to make the characters depends on the character. Some were pretty immediate. Others took quite a long time before I was more satisfied with them. I didn't really time any of them so I couldn't give you a great estimate.

Yeah. Saber didn't take long at all since I had a figure right there to base it directly off of.

I'm not sure Nira was the longest. She wasn't quick though, as I definitely wasn't sure how I wanted to do things.

Yeah. Just wasn't sure since the topic is mostly about the creative aspect rather than the game itself.

Yes. Phil is pretty awesome. Only male character I've made so far too.

I should really try and make some Homestuck characters. I mean, Makani is one of my personal favorites I've done so far, so I know I can do trolls well in this thing.

Heh. Yes. Will definitely try and make Jade. Homestuck characters all have fairly simple designs. I should be able to make a lot of them with no problems.

I've already made all of the mane six ponies...
