A brand new location known as the Battle Isles has been opened and to celebrate its first opening, trainers from regions across the world have been invited to attend its first “Warrior King Festival”, a competition where trainers battle each other across the isles to become a Pokemon King/Queen. You play as one of these trainers, and now your time to prove your skills has come. Explore the Battle Isles, fight other trainers with your pokemon, become a Pokemon King/Queen, find love, and uncover a dark hidden agenda behind the competition.

Locations:

The Battle Isles: A series of islands connected together through series of advance bridges. The setting for the Warrior King Festival. Islands and structures consist of the following:

King Island: The central island.

Director’s Command Center: A large facility which oversees the Warrior King Festival and controls most machinery used across the Battle Isles.

Director’s Stadium: A huge arena for the grand finals. Contains everything for any type of battle.

Warrior Quarters: Four large buildings placed at corners of the Master Island. Contains dorms for trainers to sleep, cafeterias and buffets for trainers to eat, various sections for non-pokemon use such as arcades, gyms, etc., and parks around where trainers can relax and play with their pokemon.

Pawn Island: A barren island that contains an underground network of tunnels and caverns.

Knight Island: A larger island that is rich with grass fields and forests with a small mountain on the northern side.

Bishop Island: A domed island which technology used to artificially create a winter setting.

Rook Island: A crescent-shaped island with a large beach. A sunken ship is located underwater nearby.

All islands contain arenas for battling, pokemon centers, food stands, bathrooms, and stores for different suitable depending on the island, i.e. Rook Island has beach wear while Bishop Island has winter clothing.

Personality: Ilya is a very playful youth who loves to games, sports, adventuring, you name it. He thinks everyone should treat each day as if it were their own. His Pokemon are the most precious things to him and he’ll never give them up no matter what. Ilya is very fascinated with super heroes and he wants to become one, but what motivates him is something only he knows. He’s the nephew of Director Grigori Crater and has been invited by his uncle to participate in the Warrior King Festival on the Battle Isles.

Important rules to follow in this roleplay:

-No Legendary Pokemon please. Let’s try to keep this fair, okay?

-When selecting your Pokemon, they have to be Pokemon only found in the region your character is from. If you really want a Pokemon from a different region on your team, you must give a good and believable reason for having this Pokemon.

-When choosing which moves for your Pokemon to have, they have to be moves that they’re capable of learning from games, whether it’s their list of naturally learned moves or their move-pool of TMs/HMs that they’re capable of learning.

-Try your best to interact with the other people playing, because playing by yourself isn’t always fun.

-We want to keep this roleplay alive and going, so please be as active as you can with it. If a certain period of time has passed and you haven’t made a post in a long time, we might end up continuing on without you.

Appearance: Frou is a busty woman of average height. She has mid-length/long dark mauve hair which reaches past her shoulders, which she styles curled around her face. Her hair also has dark blue accents. She is fond of exaggerated makeup styles, and will often don pale foundation, pale pink blusher and dark eyeshadow and lipstick.

Frou, being a fashion designer, often wears outfits featuring the pelts of Pokemon. Her favourite is a Mightyena fur wrap, which she made herself and will take almost everywhere with her. She is also fond of fascinators and knee-length skirts. Her favourite fascinator is decorated with Honchkrow feathers. She can also often be seen smoking clove cigars outside of contests and battles.

Personality: A lot of people consider Frou to be cruel because of how she incorporates Pokemon pelts into the products she designs. She cares for her Pokemon, feeding them Pokeblocks and showering them with affection, but she struggles to view them as more than a fashion accessory. When it comes to people, Frou is a businesswoman before anything else, and will flaunt her designs to who she sees as potential customers. On the off occassion she befriends someone - something she struggles to do because of how people view her, and her reluctance to get attached to people due to her travels - then she will defend them fiercely.

Her obsession with fashion aside, Frou also enjoys making Pokeblocks, and can frequently be seen at Pokemon Contest Halls. She prefers to make sweet, bitter and dry Pokeblocks, and will get flustered if she ends up making a sour one. She is more than happy to share the Pokeblocks with her acquaintances (and is especially quick to give away the sour ones), and this stretches to other things too - she has been called a bad influence for offering younger trainers a cigar.

Origin: Growing up in Slateport City, Frou became a familiar face at the markets, often stopping to gawk at all the wares - especially the clothes. She fell in with a group of black market Pokemon fur traders in her teenage years, and was immediately smitten with the textures and softness of different pelts. Since then, she began travelling all over the Hoenn region, breeding her own Pokemon and experimenting with how using Pokeblocks (and later in her travels, Poffins) to edit the quality of a Pokemon's coat would affect the outfits she designed. She even set up a small farm near Verdanturf town to breed her Pokemon, enamoured by the beauty of the grass Pokemon and the fragrances - far different to the strong, foul smells of big cities which she despises.

She caught wind of the Battle Isles and the Warrior King Festival from an acquaintance at the Pokemon Contest Hall in Verdanturf Town, and - despite having very little experience in battles previously - was fascinated by the idea of becoming a "Pokemon Queen", thinking it could make her famous and further her somewhat failed endeavours to sell her designs to people. She began training immediately, and although was disgusted by the thought of perhaps having to fight using "ugly" Pokemon, soon became obsessed with the battles.

Personality: Kira is a calm, quiet person. He usually speaks only when necessary and doesn't always get on good with those who speak too much. Kira has a hard time taking orders from those he doesn't respect, to add. Mainly though, Kira is calm and peaceful and likes to help others. Howerver, there is a side of him that most people don't see, and it will only be revealed to someone who he REALLY hates.

Origin Kira comes from Orre...he was always a pretty peaceful guy, until he just decided he didn't want to see anymore of Orre. It wasn't like he was doing anything anyways. Kira floated from region to region, travelling with a single pokemon-absol, until he had beaten everyone who challenged him to a pokemon battle. Deciding he would settle down in Johto, he spent the next 3 years building a house and integrating himself into the community, until he decided that he wanted to give back to Alto Mare, the most beautiful place he had seen. Deciding since he was already a good trainer, he would go out once more and try and find some ways to make money so he could fund a battle school. Seeing an advertisement for the new 'Battle Isles', Kira decided that would be where he went first. If he did well, he knew he would find people who would want him as a trainer (or so he hoped), so he was off to win a competition.
