I discovered here that the 1982 horror film The Thing is getting a remake this year. I find this interesting because The Thing is a remake of the 1951 film The Thing from Another World, which was based on the 1938 novella Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell (The Thing is much closer to the source novella though). The trailer looks interesting because it clearly resembles The Thing's style of horror, but the cast reminds me a bit of The Thing from Another World. It looks like it will have its own twists rather than being a complete remake too. I will be interested to see how this turns out.
