Lately in The Inspector, the warmonger Archibald Grims has sided with the Shadow-Mirrors, and with their power he invades and conquers the nation of Riksent, forcing the country's young ruler, Princess Shine Hausen, to retreat. To make matters worse, an alien group calling themselves the Inspectors are seriously crippling the armies of the Earth Federation. With the overwhelming forces of invading aliens and government conspiracies, SRX team, ATX team, Aggressors, and Octo Squad, the heroes of the OG series, unite again to save Earth.

Their first mission is to take back Riksent from Archibald's forces. The counterattack goes well until Archibald threatens to kill innocent civilians while outpowering them with a giant mecha of his own. Seeing their determination to win, Princess Shine finds the courage and strength to make a stand. With the help of her new best friend, Latooni Subota, Princess Shine obtains the power to win back her country, the Fairlions.

So far the best moment of the anime adaptation, where two of the three pies of the OG series fight with their trademark pie-mechs.

Yes. It's based on Original Generations 2, which is set in the OG universe/series.

If you like tactical-strategy RPGs, then I think you might like it. It could be a bit complicated though.

Here's the game's version of the Fairlion's combo attack. One thing that the SRW games like to is chibi-fy the mechs.

It looks like Queen's Blade: Spiral Chaos. Maybe that game has the game system.

Maybe Queen's Blade: Spiral Chaos game system was inspired by SRW? I can understand why, that's how I imagined Overworld's system to be like that if it was a game.

I think the PS2 remake Original Generations comes with both OG 1 and OG 2. OG Gaiden, on the other hand, comes separate, I think.

Ah, I meant to say Spiral Chaos might have borrowed the same system. I think that system is getting popular.

It is a fun system. It would be good to see some more strategy RPGs with that kind of game system.

I'm now interested in having a Fairlion in Dynasty Force. Maybe it could be part of the 4th Rebellion.
