Just a couple weeks now, so I thought a topic was a good idea.

Here is what we got this time out:

And for more in-depth info on the shows, check this link.

In my case, we have two sequels to shows I've enjoyed: Arakawa under the Bridge and To aru Majutsu no Index (yay, super excited for that).

Other than that, things aren't quite certain for me. Below are the ones I'm considering:

Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls - action fanservice show from Hobby Japan, the company responsible for Queen's Blade. The previews I've seen make this look amazing. This will probably take over for HOTD in being the most unquestionably badass thing on.

Iron Man - it's been on these charts a couple times before, but this time it's actually coming out. I really enjoy the Iron Man character, he being probably my favorite Marvel character (and second favorite superhero period, next to Batman). I'm curious to see how he's captured for the anime. Granted, this adaption could suck. But I hold out some hope.

Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru - It's SHAFT and I usually like what they put out. I wasn't sure about this one just from the descriptions, but previews tell me this could be as hilarious as their usual work. Either way, it has maid outfits.

My Little Sister Can't Be this Cute - it's about a perverted pie. Nothing more really needs to be said. Looks like it could be amusing.

The World God Only Knows - Not the kind of series I've come to expect from Manglobe at all, to say the least. The premise is interesting. The previews I've seen further my interest by betraying my expectations for what the show is and establishing that this might be the sort of (non-trap) male protagonist I actually find vaguely interesting.

Shinryaku! Ika Musume - An off the wall comedy with a premise that sounds more like it's fit to be a SHAFT show then the SHAFT show of the season. Worth a shot at least. We'll see if it's actually funny.

Star Driver - an original mecha anime. Those can be really fun sometimes. I'm highly skeptical about this one as the main lead looks like the type that's hard to stomach for me and on paper it sounds vaguely stupid. But I'm willing to give it a shot at least. I skipped Gurren Lagann when it first aired because I had almost the exact same thoughts, and I ended up loving that show. Hell, I didn't even pick up Code Geass until about the fifth week in when the buzz on it finally reached me.

And that's about all that appeals to me at this point.

Oh boy, what to go with. So many of these make me want to just skip this season all together, but I see two or three of them that are diamonds in the rough and wants me to watch them:

Iron Man: Iconic Badass Hero+Japanese Animation=BadassxInfinity.

Psychic Detective Yakumo: Something about it draws me in (no, not the red eye, it's not freakin Geass). Maybe the fact that it mentions ghosts and the fight to bring them to peace makes my curiosity explode with joy.

Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls: Although I haven't seen all of Queen's Blade, I've seen enough to know that its badass. The fact that its made by the same studio (as Phil mentioned) means its going to be totally sexy and awesome.

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes: Surprise! I bet no one expected me to say I'm excited about it. It brings back the memory of Sherlock Holmes and some Nickelodeon show called Inspector Gadget: now make the main characters 4 girls, make the bad guys mysterious, shadowy thieves, and you got a sexy, kickass show.

Psychic Detective Yakumo is one of those shows I could see myself watching if I hear a lot of hype on it. But right now, the interest isn't quite there.

I had considered listing the moe detective show. I just might give it a shot. On first look it kind of seems like some throwaway moe cash in show, but maybe it's something more. I have a sort of affinity for detective stories too, so it's a maybe. It's just my skepticism on that one is higher than just about any. It's hard to do moe just right.

It's worth considering though.

Moe or not, I like this concept. Should be awesome (hopefully...).

Yeah. It's not in the list of shows I'm writing off entirely. If I hear something good about, I may give it a look.

Heh. It is kind of a cute concept. The previews I've seen make it seem expectably cute and moe, my biggest worry is if it will actually be able to pull off intriguing mysteries through all the cuteness.

I just watched a preview of Yosuga no Sora and was immensely surprised... The content is a far cry from what the dull picture and description lead me to believe.

It can be added to the shows I'm considering watching.

Awesome, dude. Still not something I'd want to watch though I'm afraid.

Fortune Arterial Red promise looks like Dance in the Vampire Bund, this sucks.

Heh. Yeah. Probably still not you're thing.

The girl in Fortune Arterial raid isn't a pie though, so it's not as good.

What's wrong with DitVB?

Yeah, sorry.

I don't know what's with my beef with DitVB. I did watch an episode of it, but that was on accident because I downloaded that while trying to download the Shoujo Sect OVA. DitVB is probably cool (or at least the episode I saw), but something about it just makes it iffy for me.

Heh. I don't know. Maybe it had too much pie for you.

On second look, the vampire being non-pie isn't the only thing that sets Fortune Arterial apart from DitVB. They're not even anywhere near the same genre, one being a dark action series with political themes and the other being a seemingly conventional romance/drama adaption of an eroge. Really the only thing the two have in common is vampire themes.

I don't know, maybe.

Well, that's something I didn't see coming. Heh, maybe I'll give it a second look when it comes out.

What, me saying it appears to be "a seemingly conventional romance/drama adaption of an eroge" sold it to you?

No, I was talking about Fortune Arterial Red Promise. But I'll give Dance In the Vampire Bund a second chance too.

No. That comment applied to Fortune Arterial...

Dance in the Vampire Bund is the "dark action series with political themes".
