Valkyria Chronicles II is very fun. You should buy it if you own a PlayStation Portable, now that the English release is avalible.

I can't wait until I get it, whenever that is.

I wish I could afford to go buy the first one, I'll try and play it before the 3rd comes out.

It's depreciating at a slower rate than most games, it's still like £20 most places and it's been out for ages.

Still, I keep meaning to get it, new computer is first on my list though, then several other things.

I don't know much about the pound, but when I tried converting £20 to Japanese yen, the price was about ¥2,609. That actually doesn't sound especially bad to me. ¥2,609 is really good for an PS3 game. I may be completely wrong in the conversion though, so maybe £20 is much worse than I thought.

And it's about 30 US dollars, which is more than fair.

Definitely worth if for such an awesome game.

I might as well mention now that the most disappointing feature of the sequel is the 6-member limit. This is the only aspect to suffer on PSP. Everything else is just about perfect, but the game could have been even better if on PS3.

What do you mean? You can only use 6 squad members in each fight?

Yes, only 6 soldiers. And usually Aven must be included.

Well that's rather unfortunate then.

It is the only downside. Were it not for that, the game might be superior to the original.

Heh. It does sound like an annoyance.

But if that's the biggest problem with the game, I can't complain.

The game does a good job giving personalities to everyone you can recruit. The designers really worked hard to give the best game they could with what they had to work with.

That's very good to hear.

Would you say the recruitable characters are more developed than they were in the first game, or about the same?

I don't know about every minor character in Valkyria Chronicles, but reviewers say there is better development in the sequel.
