Kyoto Animation's successor to Lucky Star. It's just as moe as its predecessor, maybe even more so. It's principal characters truly encompass the full spectrum of moe goodness. It's quickly becoming oen of my favorite series.

K-On! is awesome.

THe second season is nearing its end and has been quite the ride so far. I haven't really spoke on the last three or four, but they've been great. I wish they had shown more of the romantic parts between Mio and Ritsu in the school play. That would have been so awesome... Ten there was another new performance with a couple new, cute songs. Latest episode was a forward looking one that resulted in the girl's all deciding to plan to get into the same college. Should this plan work, I wonder if we'll get a third College-based season. That'd be cute, even if Azusa would probably be forced to step back (as would Sawako).

And... for some strange reason... with each new episode the urge to write K-on! fanfiction grows deeper and deeper...

I'm seriously considering it...

I know I've said a lot of this Fate project I'm planning for after CG:AotCT, but part of me wants to hold off on that for a while and write a serious K-On! fic first.

It would give me a little more time with "Unlimited Blade Works", although that's my fault for not playing in weeks.

Well, at my current pace, these last few chapters are already going to take quite a while.

But yeah, with the Fate story, I got most of the characters down, but the plot is still kind of sketchy and unformed. It might actually be a good idea to give it a little more time and do something else first.

Well, then it might be a good idea after all. Go do that. Something short might be nice.

Heh. I'm not sure how short it'd be. I don't really have anything super-cohesive there either yet.

I've suddenly discovered that the background characters in K-On!, or at least the ones in Yui's class, have unique names and minor character details. I had realized before that they all had unique character designs and such, but I had no clue they were named. It's fun. So many new characters to look out for as I watch.

And a few of them, Himeko Tachibana (who has a respectable number of pics on Gelbooru), Fuuko Takahashi (a meganekko version of Mio, essentially), and the really cute Shizuka Kinoshita are particularly alluring in my opinion.

All of this is something I'll definitely have to keep in mind if my K-On obsession stays at its current level and I end up writing a K-On! fic.

Yay, K-On!! 23 was cute. Less yuri themed then I'd have liked the Valentine's Day episode to be (I know there were busy studying, but it would have been so cute to see Ritsu try and make chocolates for Mio or something), but that's not so major a fauly. Lots of cute Azusa moments. Not much Mugi, unfortunately. Ending was cute.

I watched 23 and 24.

Very sweet, sentimental episodes. Particularly in regards to Azusa in 24 and the song played to console her. It was all rather emotional and well done and made me feel good inside while still making me laugh and smile.

So the main plot of K-On!! is concluded now with just two "extras" left before the actual end. I have to say I really do love this show. It's pure slice of life, but the characters are infectious and charming in a way that's incredibly hard to capture.

I'd honestly love to see a third season. See the primary four girls in college, see Azusa work at starting a new light music club. I suppose it's not too likely, but I can still hope.

One thing I can say about the final four episodes is that there wasn't enough Himeko. I mean I suppose that's the bad part about falling in love with a background character.... but whatever... I'll just post a Himeko pic now for no good reason:

Himeko really is awesome.

It adds to the slice of life factor. The main characters might not be the hottest girls in the classroom. I find that interesting.

The final two extra episodes didn't have enough Himeko.

Other than that, they were very cute pieces of fluff. Episode 25 might have been a little too fluffy, though it had some funny moments and Azusa was adorable.

Episode 26 was better and made me smile in the end, seeming to confirm that the Light Music club would live on in new hands.

Which brings me back to the sequel prospect. The four central girls are going to the same college, and it's an all girl's college if I recall. It's not like too much would have to change if they did a third season. They could make things a touch more serious when it comes to the music part. And of course they could occasionally go and focus on Azusa and her new club. It would be fun. I understand how popular the show is, so maybe it will happen. Guess we'll have to see.

For now, there's this movie that's been green-lit. I don't know what to expect there. If it's original content, it might be a lot of fun.

English dub trailer. Having Stephanie Sheh as Yui is perfect to me since I picked her as Kokoro's English voice and Kokoro's Japanese voice, Aki Toyosaki, was picked after hearing her as Yui.

How thoroughly disappointing... no Mugi lines were featured in that at all... I wanted to hear her voice.... especially since they got an inexperienced voice actress to play her.

Stephanie Sheh is perfect as Yui. I expected her to be. The role is perfect for her.

The rest of the talent is fairly fresh. Cristina Valenzuela looks like she'll do as good with Mio as she did with Noel Vermillion before.

First time hearing Cassandra Morris' voice. Looks like she worked at 4Kids until recently. Not always a good sign, but from the preview she sounds good as Ritsu.

I just wish I could hear Mugi... or Azusa...
