You all probably recall a couple weeks ago when I was convinced to buy a camera so that I could take pictures of my anime figures and then maybe do "something" with said pictures.

Well, I finally did do a "something". My initial thoughts were to make some sort of amusing photo comics or something, but I really couldn't think of any good jokes at the time. Maybe in the future I could try something like that if I come up with some good material.

So yeah. In lieu of anything more creative, I started a dramatic reading of my favorite fanfic, My Immortal. My figures are used to act out the story (and don't worry, I'm making a real effort to make sure the figure playing each character looks nothing like the character itself...). I then applied some cheap photoshop effects to make it more amusing.

This is an experimental thing. I've never done any of this stuff before really, be it use photoshop, do a dramatic reading, or even really just take pictures of stuff. I really think my reading is a little weak. I could use more energy and find a stronger voice for it. A lot of this is kind of just testing what I can do.

That was an innovative thing to do with your figures. I have some trouble understanding you, but I naturally would have that as a problem.

Yeah. But part of it's probably still my fault. I think I could stand to speak a little louder and clearer if I keep doing this. That's really the part I'm least satisfied with.

I'm far more satisfied with how the visuals turned out. Churuya covered in the cheap paint effects just makes me smile.... Strangely nightmarish...

Of course, the first chapter of My Immortal doesn't give me a lot to work with. There are but two lines of dialog and the literally nothing happens.

Sounds like a fun idea. I don't think I could do Thirty H's myself, at least with this format. There is no way my figures could ever hope to emulate what goes on in that fic.

I kind of suck with voices. I don't think I'm going to even try most of the time.
