"Sure, Jynx.. I think I need a moment to compose myself anyway." Pulling some Ryo from his pouch, Toutaku payed for his drink and walked toward the exit.

Jynx waited until he was out of sight before she sighed.
'What are you doing?... He's almost twice your age. Don't get involved..'
Pushing her fringe back from her face, Jynx then walked out of the exit and made her way towards her house.

Toutaku sighed. It was almost as if all he did was sigh or flirt these days, and the women were few and far between.

He cared for Jynx, deeply and truly. If not as a lover, then as a friend. He would lay down his life for her, and hoped she would for him. But, she was his junior by many years. Should he be doing this?

Unlocking the door to her flat, Jynx dumped her keys and bag on the shelf by the door, and wandered through to the kitchen.
Switching the kettle on she sank into a nearby chair and sighed again.
"What are you doing, Jynx." She moaned, rubbing her temple. "You can't just drop everything and leave..."

The night was cold, and the black-clad shinobi was at a loss. He realised the futility of his situation, and decided to make sure if Jynx had wanted to come or not.

"I can't hurt her.... Not over something so trivial."

With that in mind, he began to walk to her apartment, hoping to glean an honest answer from her.

After making a cup of tea, Jynx proceeded to strip off all of her clothes, and made her way into the bathroom for a shower.
Feeling the warm water run down her head and back, Jynx let out a noise of contentment.

Reaching her door, Toutaku slicked his hair back and knocked. Then waited... Then knocked again. Fearing he had offended her, he decided to use her spare key to let himself in. Walking through the doorway, he heard the distinct sounds of a shower.

Not wanting to disturb her, he sat in her couch and waited.

He chuckled at the situation. "With any luck" he mumbled to himself. "she won't sing. That might just kill me." Giggling quietly, he stretched out with his feet on the coffee table, and waited for his quarry to emerge.

Wrapping her long dark hair up in a towel, Jynx picked up her cup of lukewarm tea and wandered through into the sitting room, planning to air dry herself.
She was just about to put the kettle on again when she noticed her spare key was on the table. And there was a pair of shows next to them.
And the shoes were being worn.
Jynx screamed and tried covering herself with her arms.
"What the hell are you doing?!"

"Wondering why in the world you just walked in naked!! I knocked twice! I was worried!"

Toutaku was flailing where he stood, wondering what on earth to do. Turning round, he buried his face in a pile of laundry. Pity for him it was mainly underwear.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING NOW??" Jynx yelled, grabbing the laundry and hugging it to cover her body.
"Please Toutaku, just... STAND STILL and don't look!"
Jynx ran backwards into her room and slammed the door shut, grabbing her dressinggown and shoving it on.

Toutaku sat there, almost weeping. He had come here to make sure his bond of friendship had not been in jeopardy, and had just succeeded in embarrassing his friend further.

"Er.... Sorry..?"

It was a long shot, but he might as well try, right?

After tying the cords of the dressing gown around herself, Jynx let out a breath and un-did the towel containing her hair.
Fluffing it up and pushing it over her shoulders, she fanned her face briefly, trying to stop her cheeks from being so flushed.
She then took a deep breath and walked back out into the seating area.

Looking up, Toutaku faced his friend guiltily.

"I just wanted to make sure that you were OK with this whole thing." He started, slowly. "It must be a hard choice for you, and I realise now that I had put you in a difficult position. Please, think on it. Then, make your choice with a clear head."

Jynx nodded, biting her lip.
"Mmhmm.. I will do. Thank you for.. letting me have time to think.." She looked down and ruffled her fringe nervously. "Can I err.. make you a drink?"

"Tea'll be fine, dear..." He lounged back and relaxed his eyes.

"I just wanted to let you know that I respect your choices. Please, don't let me hurt you and think it's the best thing."
