I heard an English version of the manga, directly translated to The Qwaser of Stigma, was released. I wonder how book stores would handle it? Behind a shelf like Phil thought it would be? Or in plain sight?

A role-play of this would be fun...

I hadn't heard about the manga. I imagine it will be kept off shelves, or at least plastic wrapped if it's on them.

I'd be up for a roleplay.

Well it's good something like that can be officially translated.

I should read more of the manga and try coming up with something. I find it fun to translate the Russian with my Russian dictionary.

I've found hardcore yaoi hentai manga in the teen/childrens section of my library before.

In this part of the country, the generally held belief is that anime = cartoons = children-safe.

Means I never get ID checked though. XD

You guys sound a lot less strict about it then over here. There are stories about libraries getting sued for having even somewhat risque manga here.

We've had lots of yaoi, and some normal sex manga.

I guess that is the stereotype...

Yeah; libraries aren't going to even try and stock hentai manga. They would not be able to keep it very long.

Tha majority of the manga in the city nearest me is at least 16+. A few 18+ appear as well.

As far as I'm concerned, I prefer the majority of this nation being blind to it. This way, half the shoddy imitations are held back, and I can buy things the majority of my friends have no idea about.

It does sound better that way.

I'd be happier if there weren't as many stories of crazies who think anime/manga is evil as there are here.

Narutu Sand Ninjas!

To be far, Masahi Kishimoto once wrote "Narutu" and "Narutū" in English in the book Naruto Hiden: Rin no Sho Character Official Data Book. However, he meant that as a portmanteau of Naruto and tsuushin (通信), meaning "news", and in Japan some people write tsu as tu instead (tunami, Tujido Miyuri, tubasa...).

Heh. Sad story; if only kids weren't so stupid.

It does rather bug me though that the reporter on the story Akiko Fujita, obviously a Japanese American, and one not so far removed from her culture as to still have a distinctly Japanese name, really has no excuse to pronounce it like that, where I'd just excuse it as simple ignorance otherwise.

It is a sadly common occurrence.
