With Adventure Time having it's Japanese premiere in 6 May, I thought I would talk about what I know and make a thread. Four voice actors were announced, and it looks like the Japanese dub will have an all-star cast

Bak Romi (Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist and Toushirou Hitsugaya in Bleach) as Finn the Human.

Shirou Saitou (Yoruichi Shihouin cat form in Bleach and Mamezou in Kekkaishi) as Jake the Dog.

Rie Tanaka (Lacus Clyne in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Suigintou in Rozen Maiden) as Princess Bubblegum.

Hong Yeonghui (popular television teacher of Korean) as Lady Ranicorn.

Unfortunately, no word is out on who will voice Beemo, Ice King, Marceline, and Lumpy Space Princess.

Some name changes from the English version are present. Lumpy Space Princess was shortened to just "Lumpy" (ランピー Ranpii) and Tree Trunks is now "Tree Trunk" (ツリートランク Tsurii Toranku).

I'm looking forward to seeing who'll voice LSP as it should be hilarious. That's a pretty good cast so far though, I had no idea Ms. Romi voiced Hitsugaya, but I loved her work as Ed.

Well, that's good news. I'm curious as to who the Ice King will be played by; Tom Kenny, most famous for being the voice actor of Spongebob, is voice actor here. Do you think they'll keep him as a comedic ineffectual character or are they going to go for a more serious version?

Excellent. Rie Tanaka's one of my favorite VAs. Lets us know how Adventure Time's Japanese version is when you see it.

Adventure Time begins in Japan in a few hours. Here is a great bunch of adverts for it. The final one is especially epic and displays a big number of characters and scenes.

I'm sure the premiere is over now, but that sounds wonderful!
Sadly I can't remember the password to my old NND account so I cannot view the adverts, but some of those episode names are great.
If I knew someone named Donny I think I would nickname them "Contemptible Donny" just to annoy them. Although perhaps "Despicable Donny" rolls off the tongue better.

Thank you. I wish I thought of "Despicable Donny" as a translation. Too bad about not having the Nico Nico Douga password though. I haven't seen the same advert on YouTube. It seemed to be a parody of the Harry Potter film trailers.

The Japanese dub is fine, but most Japanese were watching the subtitled version instead (Cartoon Network in Japan has dubbed and subtitled channels to switch between).

I love the new episode. Finn and Fire Princess' relationship has definitely improved from the last time they were together.

So do I. I found it really funny when Jake was telling that Finn's relationship with Flame Princess is near first base and when Finn asked what the final base was, Jake told him to stay away.

The fact that Flame Princess is very unstable compared to other fire elementals comes to mind.

The episode afterwards shows some disturbing images with Marceline.

OK then. I think everything with Marceline so far has been written about on TV Tropes. I will be checking to see what comes up for the newest episode.

Some slightly earlier episodes have been giving Jake some very strange and demented expressions.
