Yes. This scenario was what had me hooked onto the series. _________________

She sure is. It's too bad that she won't be getting any action again until at least episode episode 10. _________________

Okay. Strangely though, Minene starts becoming less villainous despite the fact she's still a terrorist bomber.
Upcoming Diary Users, Tsubaki and Twelve. Tsubaki is pretty and alluring, and Twelve is delightfully over-the-top. _________________

Yuno looks good in a swimsuit, but I don't think green suits her. _________________

Yes, but I think it would be too similar to her underwear. When I read the manga version, I thought her swimsuit was either blue or violet. _________________

It looked like purple to me.
I thought Minene's hair was black in the manga as well. _________________

New episode is out. Quite a mood whiplash between the funny flashback and then sad ending. _________________

Saw the new episode. Definitely a climatic event, as well as it being Yuno's most evil moment in the series. _________________

And so we've finally come to the end of the Future Diary anime. What a ride. This is by far, one of most enjoyable anime/manga series I've ever seen, and it's definitely one of my favorites. Misuzu Togashi was pretty good as Yukiteru, and I think Tomosa Murata deserves an award, because her acting is absolutely outstanding. She conveyed Yuno's emotions and behavior perfectly; she truly brought her character to life.
But as much as I love this series, I still must give my criticism. To me, the first several episodes seem to suggest that the anime could potentially become superior to the manga, and for half of the time, it succeeds in doing that. As I have said, the voice acting helped bring the characters to life, and the anime does a very good job of staying faithful to the manga, to the point of having almost every scene, event, and dialogue; this is the anime's greatest strength, but also its greatest weakness. I love the story, but even I can see a lot of plot holes, particularly with the equipment the characters use, like where did they get this stuff or how do they have the knowledge to use or even acquire it? The anime does fix some plot holes, but there I wished that it would just fix all of them. This is one thing that sorta prevents it from being superior to the manga. Next was Aru Akise. While I didn't really mind him, I didn't like what they did with his character. The morality of the characters in the story is suppose to range from black to grey. Any characters that are truly good are ones who don't get involve with the Survival Game, namely Yukki's mother. In the manga, while Akise acts nicer, care about Yukki, and is generally more heroic, he's shown to be willing to sacrifice anyone, even Yukki's friends, for Yukki, and he does; Just like Yuno, the only person that matters to him is Yukiteru and no one else. This shows that Akise is potentially crazy like everyone else. But in the anime, all of that gets tossed out the window and he's made into a goody-two-shoes just to continue demonizing Yuno. And last, there's the ending. It ends abruptly and very ambiguous; everyone is all and well, but certain issues have been left unresolved, meaning that dark tragedies are still at risk. If you haven't read the entire manga, then the ending would feel rather sad and empty for Yukki after all the hell he's been through. The manga has a much happier ending. In fact, the only thing that wasn't at the end of the anime was the epilogue. Maybe the anime's ending was hinting that the epilogue comes after, but I just wished that they should just put the epilogue in as well. Why? Well because even though Future Diary had its fanbase, it wasn't really big like other series. The anime was a strong opportunity to introduce the story to new people who haven't heard of the manga. But with the way it ended, the viewers would likely feel disappointed.
However, despite the flaws I've pointed out, I still love this series. It's not perfect, by no means, but for what it is, it's pretty good and very entertaining. I would really recommend Future Diary to anyone who likes dark stories or crazy characters, or yanderes. _________________
