That's right I've decided to commit to what I've been hinting toward for a while. I will be writing a multi chapter My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic story centered mainly around ponies of my own design. Here's a brief taste of the plot:

Dazzle Dawn is cheerful and kind unicorn attending classes at Canterlot University. Easily distracted and maybe a little dense, she is nevertheless a pony committed to learning all she can about how to use her magic for the benefit of all Equestria. Then, one day, things suddenly changed for the young unicorn. Her dearest and longest friend, Arcana suddenly vanishes without a word to anypony, leaving Dazzle lost and confused.

Just weeks later, Canterlot is shaken by a very mysterious happening. A stampede of various beasts suddenly attacked the city at once. In the midst of the chaos, a mysterious purple crystal engulfs the castle whole, locking Princess Celestia and her sister deep inside. As the whole city watches, stunned at what his unfolding before their eyes a single figure draped dark flames is seen flying from the castles. For just a second, Dazzle swears this figure looks just like Arcana.

Determined to uncover the truth, Dazzle tags along with Radiant Steel, a young, very proud and direct pegasus guardspony to begin investigating mysterious happenings that are now beginning to occur all throughout Equestria. But this is only the beginning of a much longer journey that will test the bonds of friendship like no other.

Characters:

Dazzle Dawn: the hero of the story. A bright unicorn pony with a sunny disposition attending Canterlot University as a student. Though a bit of an airhead, she is hard working and ultimately compassionate. Full profile coming soon.

Arcana: Dazzle's childhood friend. Also a unicorn and also a student of Canterlot University. Dour and jaded from a life which hasn't always been fair to her, Dazzle is her only friend. She has vanished without a trace. Full profile coming soon.

Radiant Steel: A newly appointed member of the Equestrian Royal Guard. This pegasus is a strict, proud and unforgiving fighter as tough as the armor she wears. That is until you show her something cute... Full Profile

Spirit Flame: A very odd unicorn filly with an odder past. Raised by a manticore in the Everfree forest until she was one day suddenly thrust back into pony society, Spirit has very little understanding of the things she sees around her. Timid and confused, but capable of amazing power when cornered. Full Profile

Lady Luck: A gambling outlaw Earth Pony roving the Equestrian West, conning anypony she can find out of as many bits as she can. Flirty, greedy and deceitful. She despises stallions but has a soft spot for foals. Full Profile

Midnight Brand: A somber and distant Earth pony, once famed as a ruthless soldier in the Equestrian Royal Army. Retired from service now, she tends to her beloved daughter, Hopesong, trying desperately to hide her past darkness from the filly while relying on her old talents to find the money to raise her. Hopesong: A cheerful, if lonely young pegasus filly in tune with nature. She fears nothing more than worrying or upsetting her mother. Loves reading, singing and playing with her pet cat. Full Profile

And obviously I will be adding more characters later.

The story will be an adventure type deal. There won't be any mature content. I'll probably leave romance on the implied level. It's just going to be a fun, cute little story. The major (and minor) characters of FiM will make appearances, but never steal the show.

So yeah, thoughts? I'm quite curious to hear what everypony has to say about the plot idea, the characters and what not. Also, I need a title... so if anypony has a bright idea there, it would help.

Also, if anypony wants to make a pony to be in the story, I'm totally up for that.

I think it should be called Hoof of the Nevertold. I have no idea what a nevertold is, but it sounds good.

Thank you. A profile template helps. I do have some ponies in mind, but since they are all evil I would rather them appear in any of my own stories first to keep it a surprise they are evil. Some good ponies I need to imagine.

I would certainly like to write one, but it just doesn't feel as important to me to begin as my original and current fan fiction works.

Which is best? Or are all of them too simple/bland? I'm kind of bad at this part...
