In my head, the summer season has just started... but that's just because I'm like four episodes behind on everything. Really, it's already half over.
While procrastinating on watching the current stuff (I have like 50+ episodes of stuff to watch sitting on my hard drive... kind of overwhelming), I decided to see if anyone had released a chart of the season starting just over a month from now.
They have:
An interesting line up. Luckily for me, it seems like there's less that immediately appeals to me then the last couple seasons. To go through it like usual...
Battle Spirits: Heroes - Never been into this franchise. Not going to start now.
Busou Shinki Moon Angel - This looks like my sort of show. I have a feeling I'll like it.
Cross fight B-Daman - see my comments about Battle Spirits.
Hunter X Hunter - I've never been interested in this manga/anime series. I don't know, I know it's popular with some people, but it just doesn't appeal to me. So, yeah, I think I'll skip the reboot here.
Chihayafuru - another josei manga getting adapted. Interesting. I don't know anything about Karuta, but I think I'll at least try this one.
Mobile Suit Gundam AGE - The only reason Gundam 00 got me to watch it was the great character designs. I'm just not a Gundam fan. The character designs here are entirely wrong for me. I'll probably skip it.
Guilty Crown - This sounds promising. The image looks promising. This might be a winner.
Un-Go - Another show about a guy and a pie solving mysteries? It's getting kind of redundant... Still, I'll give it a look. It sounds distinct enough from the similar series in terms of setting.
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon - Hmm... this could go either way. I have no expectations. Will try it though.
Persona 4 - I refuse to watch the anime until I've played the game. As I might not get to the game for a while, I'll probably pass on the anime.
Shinryaku?! Ika Musume - Oh my god, yes. More Squid Girl! Do want.
Fate/Zero - I shouldn't have to say a thing on this one.
Working'!! - Unless I somehow manage to watch the first season between now and then, this is a skip.
Maken-Ki! - This just really doesn't sound very appealing to me at all for some reason.
Kimi to Boku - not interested.
Fujilog 2nd Season - I don't even remember hearing about the first season, much less watching it.
Mashiro-Iro Symphony - The character designs are cute. The plot on the other hand sounds like the sort to repel me. It's Manglobe though, so it's at least worth a look.
Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam - I never watched the original Last Exile. My sister did and told me it was excruciatingly dull, so I never thought to give it a look. This sounds and looks kind of awesome though, so I don't know. It might actually be worth a look.
Tamayua ~hitohose~ - This sounds potentially really good. I think I'll probably like it.
Sekai Ichi hatsukoi - didn't watch the first season.
Lupin III - Hmm. I know it's kind of weird for an anime fan, but I've honestly never really seen any Lupin stuff. I might decide to change this with this new series if I get curious. Then again, I might just not bother. I mean, I've stayed away from the franchise this long...
Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle - I'm a little torn here. It's a Sunrise original. But the premise sounds kind of... off to me. I don' know. I'll try it, but I don't have very high hopes.
Bakuman 2 - didn't finish the first one.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai - This might be good. I'm kind of interested in how there's no mention of a male lead and yet it's called a romantic comedy. So yeah, definitely a try.
Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! - Don't really know what to make of it from this. I guess that puts it in the maybe category.
Mirai Nikki - Premise doesn't sound entirely like my thing, but I know Rahkshi really loved the manga, so I'm definitely going to at least give it a try. We'll see how it works for me.
Shakugan no Shana III - Never seen Shana, so skipping.
C3 -Cube X Cursed X Curious- - fully naked female thief of rice crackers? Intriguing... Could be good. Could be stupid. Could be both. I'll have to wait and see.
Ben-To - Premise seems kind of weird. Hot girls in the image are hot though. So yeah, it could be good.
And that's it. There are only two shows this time that have me legitimately excited from the onset (Fate/Zero and Squid Girl). All the rest seem to firmly be in the maybe category, with the exception of Guilty Crown, Moon Angel and Tamayura which I have a good feeling I'll enjoy. This could end up being a pretty quiet season. Or I suppose all the maybe shows could be great or something... I really don't know.
One thing though... Where the hell is SHAFT? Second season in a row where they present nothing? What is that about...? I mean, if I was Akiyuki Shinbo, coming off directing two of the best shows of the year (as well as the delightful but more flawed Maria Holic Alive), I guess I'd be a little worried about what to follow it up with. Still, as a fan, I don't like waiting.... _________________

If you're a Shana fan and have the mindset to be a Future Diary fan, it's pretty understandable why I would be this excited. _________________

I'm going to try
Moon Angel- Looks like something I might enjoy
Chihayafuru- I don't know I've been enjoying shows like this recently
Mobile Suit Gundam Age- As a Gundam fan I have to try this although something about the premise bugs me. . .
Persona 4- An anime adapttion of my favorite game? Oh HELL yes!
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon- Musashi, fuedal territories, looks good
Un-Go- Well its worked so far. . .
Guilty Crown- I just have to say "Lost Christmas" Looks good artwise too
Maken-ki- People in a school with magic powers? I'll watch.
Mashiro-iro symphony- the girls are cute and its based off an adult game. I'm not sure I need to know more about it.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga sukunai- The premise is alright and the girls are cute
Phi Brain- its Sunrise, so i'll watch ep 1 at least
Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!!- Adult game plus samurai culture.
c3- I'm not sure I need a reason to watch this.
Bento- funny show about food. (At least the premise is funny)
Also if anyone watches Tamayura ~hitose~ let me know if its good.
Thats 13/14 new shows I certainly don't make things easy on myself.
Now I have to catch up on summer, I haven't seen any since the premiers ugh. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

Fate/Zero is the definite must watch of the season.
And I assume it's because he still doesn't have a computer that has internet..
And wow, dude... if you haven't seen any anime since the premieres this summer, you have a lot of catching up to do. And I thought I was behind... _________________

ME NO CABLE!!! CHARLIE ANGRY!!! CHARLIE SMASH!!!
Serious note, yeah, no cable or internet at home still. Blacked out for almost 8 months. I blame my sister and mom for this. As soon as I get that job at GameStop, I'M GETTING BACK MY INTERNETZ!!1111!!!!
But yeah, I haven't seen any of the summer stuff. At this point, I'll just have to skip them unless its absolutely necessary. _________________

I never saw Fate/Stay Night, so Fate/Zero isn't on my must watch. If I watch Fate/State Night I'll change my mind, but I doubt I'll have time to watch. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

It is a prequel though, so it's not like Fate/Stay Night is required viewing really.
And the Fate/Zero novels were written by the same guy who wrote Madoka... _________________

I did a little experiment at Starbucks before I went home yesterday...
I hereby recant my quoted statement, it turns out I CAN WATCH IT AFTER ALL, YAY!!!!
My experiment was whether or not I could download anything from the public server: I SO CAN.
Which means I can download Fate/zero episodes when they come out. And anything else like Strike Witches and other stuff like Deadman Wonderland.
Is this awesome or what? _________________
