Yes being a Pirate Lord is fun and is my only ren fest costume where I retain my American accent. Both the Peasant and the Knight use English accents. Also, the Pirate costume is the most comfortable the puffy shirts are some of the softest material I've ever touched.
Ren Fests are fun you should definately go to one.

. . . Anyway. I'll definitely try and go to one in the near future! Also, I can totally empathise with you on puffy shirts. I think I have a few blouses made out of a similar material, and they are the most comfortable things. |

I lived in Florida until recently. All I got in way of Accents are American (Natural) and English (A good fake <most of the time>)
Poofy shirts are great! But they're expensive and my girlfriends keep stealing them. . .
I have to buy them special from Ren Fest artisans.

I got myself a nice Austin Reed blazer for around a quarter of it's original price. Green and dark blue -almost indigo- vertical stripes. I'm considering using it for a Joker cosplay. :D
