It's the dere where someone is madly in love with someone to where their love becomes disturbingly obsessive and violent if the person they love interacts with someone else. They're nice and sweet on the outside, psychotic and demented on the inside; and it's all in the name of love.

The setting is that troubled boy is best friends with a girl, to where they made a childhood promise to get married some day. In their teens, it turns out the girl forgot the promise and is dating another guy, which upsets the first boy. But then the boy finds out that the other guy has cheating behind the girl's back. He invites his friend over to tell her the truth, and then decides to keep her at his house forever.
One person plays as the yandere of course(ME!) and the other plays as the girl. You can make her personality into whatever you want and can decide how she'll react to the yandere, either being succumb to it, or try to reconcile with it, or think of a way to take advantage of it, etc.
