And I think I'm more behind on Index. I can't remember which episode I'm on.

I saw Ryou Kyuu Buu. It was actually rather sweet, if the character intros where hideously generic and stereotypical.

You can't have that much to watch. It's only 12 episodes, after all.

Oh... well, you're probably worse off then me in terms of being behind on stuff then.

I still haven't seen any of the premiers. I plan to watch all I can in one go toward the end of the week. But that one did look cute from what I read about it.

So last night my internet was down, so that made getting started with my anime watching an easy decision.

To start things off, I decided to watch the last ten episodes of Gosick, which I had been holding off on for months and months.

To put it simply, the last few arcs of this show were just brilliant. Gah, this stuff was beautiful. Exceptional anime. Thoroughly satisfying in every way I can name. The ending was just so sweet... and Victorique is just so adorable...

So yeah, off to a good start with the anime. Hopefully whatever I watch next is just as good.

I liked what I saw of Gosick. The title is weird to me though. Does it have a real significance, or did the author just want to write "gothic" with odd letters?

It could be as simple as the author's ignorance, but more likely he wanted to be different. It's not unheard of.

I mean, what relevance does 'Bleach' have to Shinigami?

Bleach refers to Ichigo's hair color and Kubo thought of the act of purifying a ghost as "bleaching" it. Not much of a connection, but it's there.

A Japanese person saying "gothic" does make it sound a bit like "gosick" or "gosheik".

Ah, I see. I thought it was natural?

And I suppose the name could just be a way to differentiate it from anything with the word 'Gothic' in the title.
