I see. Well I suppose I can't ask for your opinions of it so far then like I was going to.

I should watch it. I definitely like the past versions though (Fresh Pretty Cure and HeartCatch PreCure! are my favorites).

I see.

I just searched Suite PreCure to see what the characters look like. Wow, there are a lot of H-images for this... and a staggering number of them have yuri content.

If that's any indicator, I just might enjoy this...

The first Pretty Cure was popular as a girls love series because it was all about the close relationship between two girls. Other ones downplay romance of all kinds very much, focusing more on friendship between girls. Rarely does a character have even a boyfriend.

Well a lot of artists seem to be seeing some romance between the girls in this one, if some of these pictures are any indication...

I think the first one is the one I know the most about, at least in that I sort of recognize the characters even if I haven't seen it.

I suppose so. The first one is the only one with an English dub I think.

Each one has a cast made mostly of girls, so girls love is common. That is true for most magical girl heroine stories.

Yeah, apparently a dub was aired in Canada. Not sure it's on DVD though

And yep. Which is always nice for me...

All right, I was able to watch the first episode of Suite PreCure. Very cute. Musical theme like I heard. Looks like it goes back to the original Pretty Cure by having two girls acting in harmony, but Hibiki and Kanade are former friends who now have a troubled relationship. Fun episode. Must have more!

Funnily enough, I actually just watched it myself.

I'm stunned by how beautiful the animation was. That was really top notch. And the opening and ending were both memorable (and quite moe; especially the cell shaded ending sequence).

It did take some getting used to. Regardless of what unintended demographics PreCure supposedly gets, it is a show mainly targeting young girls after all. There was no real escaping that. But in the end, I think I did rather end up liking it anyway. Kanade and Hibiki are a lot of the reason for that. They're both just immediately likable (and natural for yuri subtext...). And the interactions in the episode just seemed quite strong. Some of the reaction shots in particular as the girls were first encountering some of the fantastic stuff made me actually laugh pretty good.

They sure went all out on the transformation sequence. I was kind of disappointed they cut it off after that. I had wanted to see what the fights are like (as I've read somewhere that though they're not quite Nanoha, Precure fights actually have a fair amount of action and movement to them). But that's just a minor thing (and If I was really curious I could just watch the second episode).

But yeah, overall, this was really cute and perfectly watchable. I think I'll try and get into it.

Oh, and I just wrote a big post for the series.

Pretty Cure claims to be made for young girls and moe-loving men. One of the constant themes are the physical fights; Pretty Cures beat villains up with punches and kicks.

Oh? Well that sounds pretty awesome then.

Yeah. I saw that. I guess we should really move this conversation over there.

This really has so much to do with Fate/Stay Night after all...

Was listening to the soundtrack of Fate/Stay Night. Excellent music.

Just watched the 12-minute OVA of Fate/Prototype, the original story of Fate/Stay Night. You can obviously see the inspirations for the Fifth Grail War Servants. Ayaka is cute, and Takahiro Sakurai is perfect for Saber!

So yeah, Fate/Zero is incredible.

Addicting. I already finished it. Ate up those 13 episodes like nothing and was left just wanting more... Part 2 cannot come soon enough.

This is just a pretty perfect anime. The animation is top class. Some of the best I've seen. It just looks amazing.

It's also damn engrossing. Much like the original visual novel, there isn't a single master-servant pair that is anything less than compelling. Unlike Stay Night, it doesn't make use of a single point of view either, which makes things a little more interesting. Actually, much to my surprise, Kiritsugu isn't really the main character. The focus is more on Saber and Irisviel (who share a very cute relationship). All the pairs get time in the spotlight though, and each offer something kind of fun to the story.

Also, pie Rin is amazingly adorable. Episode 10 is best episode ever.

Rin is so adorable here.

I'm sorta glad that Kiritsugu wasn't the main focus, because there's barely anything about him that makes me interested in him, but this is just me. Saber looks great in a black suit, that my friend from California says he likes it more than her white and blue dress in Fate/Stay Night.

Kariya's probably the one I'm rooting for the most, but given how Fate/Stay Night starts out, I doubt that he's gonna get far.
