Which is what motivates me to make Magical Priestess Teresa, a reconstruction of the magical girl genre.

I think I might have caught a couple episode of Tokyo Mew Mew before too, though not as much since that was later. I don't remember any characters or anything from any of these or much about them beyond basic things. I was usually doing something else while it was on and only caught parts of it.

I didn't know there were so many magical girl deconstructions. At least I haven't heard of too many. Maybe I just never recognized them as such. But I guess I know almost nothing about Bokurano and Narutaru, so maybe I just don't know too much about anime deconstructions in general. To me Madoka feels like a deconstruction as much as Evangelion did.

It's going okay. I've got most of the terminology and back story done, and I'm still designing the characters.

As I said, it's the major one I'd be most likely to watch.

It actually looks kind of fun... it's just that there are like 400 something episodes or so, which is a little much for me...

Pretty Cure is multiple stories, not one long continuous one. Fresh Pretty Cure is different from HeartCatch PreCure! is different from the original Pretty Cure! and so on.

Well even knowing that now each one is still about fifty episodes at the very least, which is a little much for me.

Yes, different characters, different storylines, and sometimes different art styles.

Suite PreCure began not too long ago, so it should be easy to catch up with if you really want to follow one of these.

If I were to try Suite Pretty Cure, how much would you say I'd be missing out on having not seen any other Pretty Cure?

I'm think I might try it.
