If a monster was made "human" enough (in terms of personality) that it could be related to, I think that it could work quite well as a protagonist in a shounen manga. Monsters are cool, and especially to younger males, the audience of shounen manga. So if there was a monster they could relate to as the lead in a manga, I think it could be quite successful.

They should make a manga from the perspective of a tentacle monster as it has to resist its urges to rape schoolgirls.

I think a manga like that might end up being seinen rather than shounen though.

True. I was more thinking because of it potentially having a more nuanced plot than for the sexual content. But yeah, both work.
