I personally thought she was good here.

Some performances seemed pretty flat, but I liked hers. Which is good since she's the main character.

Great review Phil thanks. Sounds worth while so...humm...perhaps next weekend since I have saterday off. Sometimes the visuals make the film. Take a look at Avatar. A lot of people said that it was a rip off of Fern Gully or Dances with Wolves. Some of the acting was...well good but not great. But since it looked awsome people loved it.

i personally liked this a lot better than Avatar.

It's a different sort of thing in general though. Avatar was more about showing us things we had never seen before (and it succeeded handsomely there). This movie is more about building a stunning visual picture out of already familiar elements.

But yeah, I'd say it's a movie worth seeing. Not everyone is going to like it. But I think it's at least worth seeing.

Humm...yes I suppose I see your point.

Like The Seven Faces of Doctor Loe. It wasnt well liked and many people dont even know it exists but it is a movie that everyone should see at least once.

Heh. Never seen it. I guess I'm one of the people who don't know about it.

But yeah, I've never quite seen anything else quite like Sucker Punch, which I think makes it worth checking out.

All the more reason to see it. The Seven Faces of Doctor Lao is one of Tony Randalls best films. Takes place nearing the end of the 1800's. In a small town in the sun baked middle of no where a very special circus arrives, run by an old Chinese impresario named Lao. Lao's circus features Medusa, Merlin, the Abomidable Snow Man, Pan, Aphilonious of Tiana, the Great Serpant, and even the Locness Monster. The entire circus acts as a mirror to show people their falts and misdeeds in an attempt to help them better them selves and undo the plans of the money grabbing buisness man Klint Stark. Randall plays all of the parts in the circus including Madusa. You wont regret it I promise Wink Cool

I think I saw The Seven Faces of Doctor Lao long ago. Yes, it's a pretty good film.

Yay someone who knows what I am talking about! lol Laughing My dad was looking for it for years and I am really glad he found it. Its the kind of film that makes you think and tries to teach you somthing. It has a very good message.

Finally saw it. Well I'm happy to say Ol' Zack can stand on his own two legs just fine. Visually very beautiful and the music really caught my attention, especially the song that played for her first dance. (I've been trying to figure out what it is.)

But something that impressed me was how it never actually shows Babydoll's dancing. It is only assumed to be very good and sexually charged. For some reason I found it very cool to just imagine what it was like for myself. Besides, all the dancing will be put back in for the director's cut where I can rub one out to Emily Browning's sexy dance in the comfort of my own home.

Oh yes and the action was awesome. Loved the samurai demon fight. And Oscar Isaac was fucking terrifiying as Blue.

Finally got to see Sucker Punch. I only got the rental version, but it was still pretty awesome. The action scenes were insanely awesome, as were the industrial covers of some of the songs.

Honestly I was turned off by the provocative scenes, especially the near rapes by Blue. What a bastard, which means Isaac played his character perfectly.

Overall, despite the very mind screw it was, the very pessimistic, yet bittersweet story portrayed was definitely worth it to overlook whatever mistakes it may have. And I have to say: giant mecha fighting Nazi zombies+minigun-wielding samurai oni=fucking epic crazysauce.

Aside from hot post apocalyptic chicks , nazi zombies and mecha it's the worst film I've ever spent money on.
I'm paying to have Snyder killed after he's finished butchering Superman next summer.

I swear you don't need the intellect of a God to realise that all of Snyder's films scream "LOOK AT ME, I READ COMICS."[/b]

It's a film I'd have made. I have comic book ideas from way back before I'd even heard of it that somehow ended up in the film.

That just amused me, I think.
