Of course. That's part of the fun.

Though I'm not sure the torturously long clothing descriptions are necessary. That might kill even me.

I really need to work on that...

It just hardly ever seems important to me.

Alright.

It's just one of the things I like to see in fanfic and RP. Gives me a sense of realism and makes it more immersive.

I rarely notice clothes in real life too...

Unless it's something sexy on a hot chick.

Jesus, Phil... Trust you.

Anyways, It'd be nice for realism. Not go into overly stupid detail, but just happen to mention the colour of shirts, of if a woman is wearing a dress or trousers.

you know, it gives a clearer image.

Would anyone want to try a Cthulhu Mythos role-play? Be a snooping, racist historian in the 1920's who uncovers something so incredible that madness is the only way to stay safe. The worst part is, there is nothing evil here, just something so huge and monstrous that humanity is worthless in comparison, and there is nothing to be done.

Wait, that doesn't sound so fun now...

It helps that I own some Cthulhu Mythos role-play books, and nearly the entire output of H. P. Lovecraft's prose (but not poetry or collaborations).

Annotated too. It certainly is interesting to see which places, events, and dreams inspired Lovecraft.

I wonder if a contemporary setting or a period setting would be best?

My fictional town Shadefield was actually meant to be a "Lovecraft Country" place.
