So I have finished A-Channel, Deadman Wonderland, Gosick, Hanasaku Iroha, Battle Girls, and a couple others over the past 2 days.

Hanasaku Iroha and Gosick were both really wonderful and heart wrenching.

Deadman's sick and twisted perversion was amazing. As odd as it may seem I think I love Hummingbird. God knows why. . .

Currently watching Nichijou. I need to watch that, Tiger and Bunny, Steins Gate and something else, my list went missing.

Unfortunately, I had to drop Lotte's Toy, Sket Dance, and Dog Days to make time for all the shows. By Monday I should have caught up completely, Summer shows included.

If someone wants to P.M. me the endings of the shows I had to drop, I would be really greatful.

Well, i thought Hanasaku Iroha was a two cour and thus still going? Or did it finish? I don't know. It was one of the ones I had to drop.

Deadman Wonderland was pretty awesome. Hummingbird is pretty damn cute.

Heh. You still have the best stuff left to go...

Hanasaka is a two piece, I just didn't know that till I accidently watched the first episode of season 2. When it started up and the theme song was different I groaned on the inside.

Hanasaka S1 was really touching. and a little sad. Season two opened up with the girls on a beach field trip. so yay swimsuits.

I was actually going alphabetically. I also finished Hida no Aria. It was cute and left off for a S2 (I hope). The drop I didn't remember was Ano Hana Shiranai.

Y'know it actually tore my heart to drop Lotte, but I had only watched 3 episodes of that so I felt it was one of the more expendable ones.

I'm not sure which I want to watch last though, Stenis Gate and T&B are number 2 and 3 on my Spring list. (Gosick is 1)

I see. I'm very sad I had to drop Hanasaka Iroha. And AnoHana. I hope they get licensed so I can rent them on DVD someday or something.

Hidan no Aria was good, if it all felt just a little rushed. I would like to see it get a second season.

I don't blame you for dropping Lotte. As I said, I dropped shows I was loving too. I'm even tempted to drop Gosick at this point... I just can't bring myself to do it since I love the show so much when I watch it.

I'd personally suggest saving Steins;Gate for last. But that's just my preference.

I'd ultimately give the spring season a top 5 like this:

1:Steins;Gate
2:Nichijou
3:Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
4:Tiger & Bunny
5:Deadman Wonderland

But yeah, haven't seen many of the spring episodes of Gosick yet... so it can't be on the list.

I dropped Denpa Onno from Ep 1. It could be that it's because my laptop was broken the next day, but I just thought the thing was a little (forgive the pun) spacey. It seemed distant to me. Although I do admit that the girls were hot.

I'd say it gets better but I seem to remember being in from the start on that one. It is kind of distant feeling, but that's kind of why I found it so appealing. I'm a dedicated SHAFT fan though, so I suppose I'm biased.

think I only have 7 (8 if you count Hanasaku) shows for summer. If I drop one I can easily give Denpa another shot.

You mean there are only 7 you're going to try?

From reading the descriptions you posted there were only 7 I was interested in.

Of course, I use you to see if there was anything that I didn't want to try, that actually turns out really good. (Gomen ne)

I might have to add the one about basketball, I mean, I din't really care for Football until I watched Eyeshield 21, so. . .

I see where you posted what you were interested in.

I recommend you look at where I posted my impressions of what I've seen so far. As it is, the last five shows I watched all look to be the must watches to me (that is both shows with Kamisama in their title, Mawaru Penguindrum, Blood-C and Yuru Yuri). I'd also give you a personal recommendation of Ikou Meiro no Croisée since you liked Gosick so much. It's the same artist, so the art looks almost identical; it is slice of life rather than mystery for it's genre though, so it's probably going to be a lot slower than Gosick. Beyond that, I can't tell if the rest of what I watched is going to be any good.

I'm still not sure how much the basketball one will be about basketball. So far, it's mostly about pies.

O.K. When I finally finish all of my spring shows. Which should be sometime tomorrow. (Later today Wink ) I'll write down all the shows I said I'd watch and the recommendations you give me and watch the firsts of all the new shows.

Then I'll post a new list on Summer 2011 topic. So if you have anything else you think I should try. Post it here and I'll watch it when I start my summer run.

If I don't get to it tomorrow I will see it monday before I start watching My seven summer shows.

(12 now I think)

Heh. Alright. Sounds cool to me.

I can pretty much tell those I just recommended will be good. The rest I'm going to need a second episode for.

Heh. Well, I'm now completely and totally done with Spring shows outside the three carry overs, all of which I'm caught up on.

Maria Holic finale was really cute. Not much to say about it, just that it was really sweet. It was great to see something finally go (mostly) Kanako's way in the end. Some of the jokes in the final episode feel flat, but this was a good way to end a quality anime by Shaft.

Seikon no Qwaser 11 and 12. Episode 11 was pure awesome. It made almost no sense whatsoever, but I find that's when this show is at its best. 12 was interesting. It seems to strongly indicate that another season is on the way, which kind of surprises me since they've already abandoned the manga plot with this season. I'd welcome more though, especially since the setup here was actually legitimately king of exciting. A new trap? Lesbian vampires? The return of Teresa and Elizabeth who were absent nearly this entire season? I'd like to see more of it all.

And not the three carry overs, each of which I watched four episodes (in the future, I'll probably just post about these in the Summer topic):

Tiger and Bunny: I really feel for Kotetsu. Nothing ever goes this man's way. Or, that was until the last episode I watched when he finally won the respect of his daughter. That was so sweet. Oh, and I guess he has had some success again after the conclusion of the last arc. Still, his fate as a hero looks grim, which kind of sucks. Hopefully in the end he'll at least get together with the highschool girl half his age who is in love with him or something. Barnaby is remarkably likable now; I find this kind of a shocking switch up after kind of disliking him the whole first half. The Sky High episode in there was good to see. Poor guy there too, though in his case it's because he's an idiot; that was so obviously a robot... She was more obvious than Nano in Nichijou. Now we just need an episode dedicated to Rock Bison and we'll have had one for each hero.

Nichijou: So now the dynamic has changed, as Nano heads off to school where she begins to interact directly with Mai and friends. The show remains the most laugh out loud funny anime comedy I can think of. Seriously. I just adore this shows sense of humor so much. Sure, not every joke works, but most of them do, and they're just fucking hilarious. I just really love Mai; she is such a troll. This girl is just crazy; it's pretty clear she doesn't even like any of the other girls and just hangs out with them to troll them. Hakase is quite the lovable troll too. Poor, poor Nano... That's probably why I like this show so much; two of the major sources of humor can be described as trolls.

Steins;Gate: So it continues. I'm kind of at a loss as to what to say. THis is pretty close to perfect for an anime. The characters are genuinely interesting, the humor is funny, the dramatic moments are dramatic. It manages to expertly craft the feel of hopelessness and desperation in that special way Urobuchi can. The episodes just never last long enough. I love where the plot is currently headed.

I need to catch up, but I totally called John Titor's real identity. Although somehow that doesn't make me feel as proud of myself as I did when I figured out what was happening in Gosick before Victorique told us.

Well, it's not like they were subtle about Suzu being from the future. I don't think that was ever meant to be too big a surprise.

Still have made no progress on Gosick....
