No, I know for sure that's Homura. It's one of her warnings to Madoka early in the series. _________________

"This cat has no anus" the main characters grandfather in Moon Phase. One of my friends insisted in watching the serise in Japanese so we did. This is one of the most random lines in the show. The cat in question is the cute female vampire in disgise. Completely unrelated to the sceene in which it appears. _________________

Than what was it that kyubey said involving Emotions and Fool hardiness?
My favorite one was "Do you seek to become a god?" That whole ending was win. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

I forget exactly.
Madoka's big quote from the end:
"If someone says it's wrong to hope, I will tell them that they're wrong every time. I could tell them that countless times!" _________________

"Madoka is something like his imagineary friend" I almost cryed, I swear.
"If I had a daughter I would buy her a ribbon like that" I did cry. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

Well, I'm not finding much else...
This is a good episode 9 Kyubey quote though:
"If you ever feel like dying to help the universe, just let me know. I'll be waiting." _________________

Homura when her and Madoka are both about to die at the end of a time loop in episode 10:
"So how about we become monsters together... And turn this world upside down? So that... nothing bad... or sad... would remain. Destroy, destroy, destroy it all!" _________________

So sad
Heres one, although its not anime, "Women are so sneaky and devious, thats why I went back to men." Louis Griffen Family Guy.
I thought that deserved a spot here. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

This is not actually from an anime, but it's about one.
This quote pretty much explains the entire concept behind Madoka Magica. It was written by the writer, Gen Urobuchi, well before Madoka was ever conceived (Included in an early volume of Fate/Zero). Again, stolen from TVTropes...
Gen Urobuchi wrote: | Gen Urobuchi wants to write stories that can warm people's hearts.
Those who know about my creative history will probably furrow their brows and think this is a sick joke. Honestly, I have trouble believing it myself. For when I start typing out words on the keyboard, the stories my brain comes up with are always full of madness and despair.
The truth is, I haven't always been this way. I have often written pieces that didn't have a perfect ending, but by the last chapter the protagonist would still possess a belief that "Although there will be many hardships to come, I still have to hold on".
But ever since I don't know when, I can no longer write works like this.
I have nothing but contempt for the thing men call happiness, and have had to push the characters I poured my heart out to create into the abyss of tragedy.
For all things in the world, if they are just left alone and paid no attention, are bound to advance in a negative direction.
No matter what we do, we can't stop the universe from getting colder, either, and on the same principle. This world is only maintained in existence by a series of logical, common-sense processes; it can never escape the bondage of its physical laws.
Therefore, in order to write a perfect ending for a story you must possess the power to break the chain of cause and effect, invert black and white, and act in complete contradiction to the rules of the universe. Only a heavenly and chaste soul, a soul that resounds with genuine praise for humanity, can save the story; to write a story with a happy ending is a double challenge, to the author's body as well as the mind.
At some point, Gen Urobuchi lost that power. He still hasn't recovered. The "tragedy syndrome" is still continuing within me. Is this a terminal disease? Should I give up on the pure "warrior of love" that I have longed for? Or mount a pallid battle steed and reincarnate into a bearer of the plague... could it be that I can only create pieces that give men courage and hope in my next life? (When I wrote this, I accidentally wrote "courage" as "lingering ghosts". I guess that's what I get for using IME — Ah, I just wrote "IME" as "hatred"... is there no way out of this for me?)" |
He found his pure "warrior of love" in Madoka, I think. _________________

I have to agree.
Although, if you take just the beggining part its pretty much my reasoning on how the universe works.
I've lost everything I've ever tried doing by one place. There were 3 seats open for a scholarship homestay in Japan to study I was 4th (1st alternate) guess who didn't go.
The next year, I encouraged one of my Kouhai into applying, he was 5th alternate, he went to Japan for a semester. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

I see.
Well, it's all the philosophies behind Madoka, that's for sure, right down to the nod at the concept of entropy.
Anyway, I have a lot of respect for Urobuchi after watching Madoka Magica.
He's actually the writer for Steins;Gate from this season as well, which makes me more excited for that series. Or, well he's the lead writer for the company that made the game it's based off (Nitroplus); it's not quite like Madoka where he was directly involved in making the screenplay and all that. _________________

I'm scared to watch the show. Kyouma is exactly like me when I play around with my friends, and I'm very similar to Okarin (from what I could tell) when I'm not.
It seriously bugs me. I really hope my delusions stay that way: as delusions. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .
