I might look at getting a couple of those. Then again, I might just wait until Hasbro releases these later this year:

I seriously want that Nightmare Moon. Looks to me like the best full sized official toy Hasbro has released. Official white Celestia doesn't look bad either (though not quite perfect). And that Zecora is just adorable.

I saw a pink Celestia once. I like this Celestia and Zecora, but a lot of those still look kind of off to me. At least they are trying though.

Yeah, I guess Hasbro just doesn't want to change the design of their main line of pony toys that much.

But this set proves they're catering to the fandom to some extent with the inclusion of fan favorite characters like Trixie and DJ Pon-3. Not to mention releasing a Nightmare Moon toy (can't imagine many little girls want a toy of the evil pony).

A lot of them don't look perfect. The Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash there in particular still don't get me very excited over what I've seen before. But this set is definitely overall a positive sign in my opinion.

It is pretty cool that they're releasing a Trixie toy. I'd consider getting that one, but having to provide my own hat and cape for her makes it seem like quite a bit more trouble.

The Zecora might be really be the cutest of the bunch though. She also apparently glows in the dark for reasons no one is really sure of.

The above pictured pony toys were made available for preorder online, so yeah, I bought them.

So come August I'll be getting my first pony merchandise. Now looking forward to it.
