Then Kuroneko walks in.

There needs to be more girls love doujinshi in the first place.

Well, you're above the rest of us in terms of accessability.

We only ever get what's translated. XD

I read non-translated doujins sometimes (or read might not be the right word for just looking at pictures).

But yeah, he's right. Even non-translated, there don't seem to be a lot. I think somehow futanari doujins between two female characters somehow outnumber plain yuri ones...

That's true. Futanari is more plentiful than just girls love. I think there's more boys love than anything else though.

Right; I don't think Americans are very interested in translating and scanning vast amounts of boys love doujinshi. In actual print though it outweighs all other genres.

Well, it definitely has its fans over here. I actually wouldn't really know just how big the yaoi doujin community is, given most of it doesn't ever appear on the sites I go to.

Also, does anyone translate doujinshi that's just fan fiction of a series? In Japan there's many doujinshi that have no sex at all. Or are doujinshi associated totally with sex now by the Western fandoms?

non-H doujins are rarely translated, but they are existent.

Generally doujins are assumed to be H though over here.

OK. Doujinshi tends to be the most popular way of making fan fiction in Japan.

Watched the OVA.

Really more like an alternate cut of the final episode with a different ending and a few added or extended scenes.

I'm thinking that Oreimo was a lot more successful than they thought it would be, which is why the ending was changed. That way a second season is a possibility. This was maybe more poignant in a way, but it kills the possibility of continuation with the all the same characters.

Still worth seeing. Especially for Kuroneko at the end. She is amazing.
