Just saw.
Can we call that ending Dues ex? I mean technically Madoka acheived god-hood, not the gods decided too just make all the witches go away, but still.
Awesome. I'm going to burn Madoka to a disk and mail her to my friends back home. _________________ A normal day for sheena. . .

I'm not sure I'd call it deus ex machina. It was established and explained that Kyubey could grant whatever the would be magical girls desire. It was also established and explained why (rather brilliantly, I might add) Madoka's potential as a magical girl had gotten so great through Homura's perpetual time cycling.
And Madoka's wish seems completely in character with who she is and seems an entirely reasonable thing for her to decide, even if it did technically make her pretty much a god
To me, deus ex machina is much more contrived. A solution pulled from nowhere using elements that didn't exist before.
But awesome. Definitely a show to spread around. _________________

Sounds more like you're describing an Ass Pull than a Deus Ex Machina to me. _________________

If you're going by what's written on TVTropes, The page on Deus Ex Machina does begin: "A common form of Ass Pull or Writer Cop Out,..." _________________

Pretty much. I like to think of a deus ex machina as being a case when an ass pull is used as a means to resolve the main conflict and bring about an ending to something. That's my understanding of it, at least. _________________

The evidence of an immoral sacrifice, weakening one's self when the strength lost is NOT one given to the intended... _________________
