Eh, I wouldn't say I dislike the film. I think it has its charms. Overrated though? Certainly.

Heh. You are certainly lucky there.

I kind of prefer the songs in that film.

It might interest the Pavi fans that the actor is, in fact, a founding member of Skinny Puppy.

As for the jerkiness of the plot about half an hour of footage was cut from the end film. The filling for plot holes, however, is just JUICY!

Oh. I see. I might have to look for the uncut version at some point.

Doesn't exist. Some deleted songs and scenes are on the special edition DVD (my copy of which I've just remembered that I need to steal back -_- ) and some of the deleted songs show up on the soundtrack anyway like 'Needle Through a Bug' But between those, the directors commentary and TV tropes you can piece it back together for some horrific fridge logic.

*Spoilerific!*

Well the graverobber gets his own subplot of being in Rotti's payroll to do dirty stuff down on the street level - he breaks into Shilo's house and steals her mother's body from the wall (yes that is actually marni) so that he can get the clothes for Rotti to give her. Also has him trying to dodge giving amber more street zydrate that she can't afford so she has sex with him instead. There's also a scene where shilo learns to extract zydrate from a corpse, the corpse of her own mother in fact to her ignorance.

Oh and Marni's corpse has no eyes. Guess where they went? Wink

That does sound like an interesting subplot there. Kind of a shame they had to cut it.

the acting made me embarrassed to watch it. The only good actor and decent performance was from Antony Stuart head. I thought the lyrics were dodgy and rarely scanned....all in all I feel it did little justice to a fantastic premise.....just me tho.....

No, Lenore, you're right. As a film adaption of a musical, it's one of the biggest piles of shit out there.
But yet there's something that makes it incredibly enjoyable.

Probably Terrance Zdunich lol
