I read 212 chapters of Fairy Tail in the past couple days.

Pretty excellent shounen manga. It might spend a little too much time preaching the virtues of friendship, and Natsu is kind of meh as a male lead to me, but it definitely gets a strong recommendation.

Erza is a massive part of that.

I don't remember the last time I've been so taken with an anime girl. She's already up there with Kallen on my list. She may eventually surpass her. She's kind of like Kallen in terms of personality and figure, but she appeal to my armored warrior girl fetish like Saber. In short she may prove to be perfect. I am considering watching the anime just for her.

But she's not the only thing Fairy Tail has.

It has many other fun characters:

Lucy is a lovable and sexy big breasted female protagonist:

Wendy the tasty pie:

Mirajane is more devious and impossibly sexy then first appears.

A lot can be said about Juvia too;

There are also male characters.

I'm glad you like it. Fairy Tail does have a good assortment of female characters.

Almost very female characters in this is just very alluring to me. That I didn't post pics of more of them, is more I couldn't find good pictures.

And I'll admit a lot of the male cast aren't bad too, but I doubt it's expected I post pics of them.

It's a really good manga though. I'd have a hard time picking my favorite story arc. it's been uniformly pretty excellent.

In your opinion, is the anime worth watching having read the manga? I really am considering doing it for Erza's sake.

Aya Hirano is fun as Lucy, and I like that Tetsuya Kakihara's performance as Natsu makes him sound very from Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece. Also, Sayaka Ohara as Erza. I like the anime adaptation well enough.

I need to pick up Fairy Tail+ to see how character profiles are written.

I love Aya Hirano. I'm pretty sure I like Sayaka Ohara too.

I think seeing some of the fights animated might make them better too.

And it's an excuse to spend more time with Erza...

I was going to make a Lucy-like character as a submission to A Light Forgotten originally. I'm glad I didn't because you can add one yourself now if you want.

We'll see. I'm not quite sure how Fairy Tail will influence A Light Forgotten.

Lucy like character sounds nice though.. so maybe.

She is a very fun protagonist. A breath of fresh air really. A good counterpoint for Natsu, who seem far more typical as far as protagonists in this sort of manga go.

I wonder if Hiro Mashima will make a later manga with a heroine named Fuyu or Aki? He has heroes named Haru (in Rave Master), then Natsu. If Mashima likes seasons as names then the remaining seasons are feminine names.

Wait, never mind. Mashima has an Aki already (who is male) in his shorter manga Monster Soul.

I see. I'd say it's very likely Fuyu will one next then.

I watched the Rave Master anime years ago and liked what I saw of it before the show got mishandled and disappeared. Mashima's definitely a good story teller.

So, Started the anime. Five episodes in.

Not bad so far. The pacing seems a touch fast compared to what's in the anime at times, but it's still pretty good.

Well animated; I particularly like the vibrant colors used. The general art style seems to have changed from the manga, but I kind of like the end result. The characters look distinct and cool.

The voice cast has won me over. He wasn't what I was expecting, but Natsu's voice works. Gray is perfect for the character. Rie Kugimiya makes Happy quite amusing and memorable. Aya Hirano makes Lucy even more adorable. And finally, Sayaka Ohara does my Erza great justice. She plays the part very well.

But yeah, good anime. Exciting even having just read the manga. I think I'll try and watch 4-5 episodes daily for a while. I'll catch up in a couple weeks that way.

Oh good. I was just about to ask if you had gotten to any Erza episodes.
