|
|
Ok, Club Life is a bondage/BDSM roleplay centered around the staff and members of a bondage club called Seventh Heaven.
It basically outlines the life of the people, and how they got into the business. Also, if they want to get out of it or not.
Locations:
Seventh Heaven - A high-class BDSM club in the heart of Cincinnati. Attracts all kinds of people, and there is very little in the way of drugs, abuse or other illegal activities usually associated with the lifestyle.
The Heart o' the City - A small bar nearby, frequented by staff and clientelle alike.
Angel Park - An appartment complex located a few blocks away. By coincidence, a few of the staff live there.
Characters:
Name: Eric Masters
Age: 45
Sex: Male
Nationality: American
Eyes: Steely Grey
Hair: Black with heavy grey patches. Quite long, in a ponytail.
Likes: The quiet life, the company of Bear, Steaks
Dislikes: Michelle, Rowdiness, Salad
Appearance: Tall and lanky, usually has a fair growth of stubble. Favours black jeans and motorcycle boots, with a leather waistcoat over a white t-shirt. Small gold hoop in left ear.
Personality/Role: Barman of The Heart o' the City. Not into the club himself, but more than happy to provide drinks to the staff and customers. Best friends with Bear, but can't stand Michelle. Quiet, sobre and has a wry sense of humour.
Name: Richard "Bear" Norrington
Age: 38
Sex: Male
Nationality: American
Eyes: Brown
Hair: N/A
Likes: Michelle, Jazz, Fruit of any kind.
Dislikes: Violent or Rowdy punters, this new pop shit, dry food.
Appearance: 6 foot African-American with a shaved head. Usually wears black suits with purple shirts, with shades on while he's working. Often has a smile, except when there's trouble.
Personality/Role: Doorman of the club. Tough as nails but a softie on the inside, who has a love for Jazz. Deeply in love with Michelle, but can never get her to commit.
Name: Michelle Garth
Age: 31
Sex: Female
Nationality: American, but of English descent. Doesn't care much about her blood though.
Eyes: Pale blue
Hair: blonde, shoulder length.
Likes: Bear, Loud parties, Drinking
Dislikes: Responsibilty, people prettier than her, remembering her old days, then comparing it to today.
Appearance: Average height, very curvy woman, who is just showing the slightest signs of her age. Likes to wear black shiny cocktail dresses and heels.
Personality/Role: Thirty year old woman who's been working at the club for about a decade. Loves her work and enjoys her life. On and off romace with Bear, but can't commit. Longs for the days when she was at her prime, and is beginning to resent some of the younger girls.
EDIT: More Info!
Will do my usable character soon. Any more information I should give? _________________

Debating whether I want in on this one. Bondage is kinda meh for me. It's somewhat intriguing for me, but I don't find it particularly exciting. _________________

Eww...
This RP takes place in Detroit??? That's just wrong...
I think everything else is pretty good, though. I'll be sure to make up a character soon. _________________

Yeah, don't you have like some sort of strange vendetta against the entire state of Michigan or something? _________________

I'm an Ohioan, and all TRUE Ohioans have a problem with Michigan. _________________

I was under the impression that these days Detroit is a pretty much deserted, borderline ghost town, with absolutely no one living there who doesn't absolutely have to.
I'm not sure a high-class BDSM club could stay in business there, to be perfectly honest...
Even the people who have the money there (the criminals) are probably more likely to go for any cheap prostitute they can find then go in for any sort of high-end sexual service. _________________

It had the eleventh largest population for a city in the U.S. for 2009, so I'm not sure where you got your information. _________________

Well, it's not empty, per say. But yeah, evidence is that the city is dying. There's zero population growth, the population actually having been effectively halved over the course of the last sixty years...
This Time article used the Ghost Town phrase, as have a number of sources ('Detroit Ghost Town' returns about 376,000 results in Google). Might be a little extreme phrasing in the literal sense, but the city does seem have more abandoned or nearly abandoned sectors than any other, and has 25% unemployment figures according to some reports (which is speculated much higher when you include people not looking for employment or working shit jobs).
So yeah, it's a throughly depressing, crumbling and decaying city overall. Which makes me wonder if it's the best choice for an RP setting. _________________

Detroit is a crime-infested shithole. It wouldn't surprise me if some people are moving out, but I doubt it's going to be a ghost town anytime soon. Really, to be completely honest, I think it wouldn't be a bad place for an RP. We're not really aiming for extreme realism to begin with.
But, anyway, enough of that. Fuck Michigan. _________________

Yeah. I'm probably being too realistic. Even if as poor as the city is, I still don't think something like a high-end BDSM club could have a healthy business model there... _________________

Well, I'll change it. The club's not exactly legal, and I was aiming for a crime-infested city anyway, to be used as a plot device. _________________

Well, there are cities with a fair amount of crime that aren't run down, dirt poor places. This sort of illegal activity is the kind you see more in a city that has money, I think. _________________

Should have the story take place in Cincinnati, where I am.
We have plenty of crime and murder, but we aren't dirt poor. _________________

Might be better. Honestly don't know much about Cincinnati, but it's probably better. The only thing is it's not a very big city
Heh. The only city on both the most crime list and the highest income list is Washington (which probably makes perfect sense...), but that's definitely not the right setting for this particular thing either. _________________
